Big 12 was and still is… overrated!
•TT’s biggest wins are against BYU (twice), Houston, and Utah. They played NOBODY outside the conference.
•Utah’s biggest win is Cincinnati. Their best out-of-conference win? A bad UCLA team.
•BYU’s biggest wins are Cincinnati and Arizona, plus a weak Stanford outside the conference.
•Houston’s biggest win is Arizona, and they also played NOBODIES out of conference.
Beating up on the ranked nobodies in your own conference only inflates Big 12 delusion. The eye test and common sense still matter. The Big 12 is trying to run the old SEC playbook with even less talent. It always comes back to this: play better competition outside your conference. Don’t rely on inflated conference rankings to prop up your argument. Especially if you are middle of the pack “good”. You need to face a big dog. A legit playoff caliber team out of conference and hang your hat on that result heading into Selection Sunday, with or without a conference title.
In the end, it’s still the eye test. The Big 12 should probably only get one team in, the ACC should get none. And the fact that we’re even talking about James Madison, Tulane, or North Texas is the BIGGEST JOKE; but that’s a whole different debate. Which brings me to my final point: there are way too many D1 schools.

I’ve been a soldier for over 22 years, and serve as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve. I’ve had the privilege of serving alongside countless great Americans, all of us willing to lay down our lives for the freedom we cherish and the country we love. - over 3,000 nodes
- anyone can run a node from home with minimal hardware requirements ($300 mini PC will do fine)
- No single hyperscaler dominates the node footprint (Amazon is the largest hosting 9% of nodes)
Simple question to ask: how much does it cost to run a node and participate in consensus? If the answer is 7 figures, you know decentralization and censorship resistance are a myth.
