I love happiness and peace, and saving/spending money to attain those 2 things. Wealth is saying: I love my life.

5 years ago I left prison with 3 goals: 1) Quit drugs. 2) Stay free. 3) Get a job in a new world making $10/hour without any work history or experience. I accomplished these goals, and then set bigger goals. It's amazing what you can do when you believe, try, and quit self-harm.

Bought a domain 10 years ago for $10, never did much with it. Someone just bought it for $750! Happy to finally cash-out from that experiment and move on. I'm rich bitch!

I was a younger entrepreneur. I'd go to a local gym to lift and play hoops. This one dude about my age (early 30s) would be there. Every time rolling up in a different Ferrari. We started talking. I complimented the car and asked what he did. He said, "Investments. I help with cross-border trade." I asked, "Oh, how does that work?" He explained it. I didn't get it. He explained it again. I had zero clue how it was a viable business. I nodded my head politely and said, "Awesome. Cool." It made no sense. -- A few years later, the guy was arrested for fraud. Went to jail and they took the Ferraris. I see it repeatedly in my life: * I can't understand something * My gut says "Something's off here" Pay attention to that feeling. -- In other words, when the vibes are wrong: Run away. --- If you enjoyed this, please like, retweet, comment, bookmark, post on the bathroom wall at your local truck stop, etc.

I mean if you haven't had fake blood and pee sprayed all over you while extreme heavy metal is played at a GWAR show, have you ever really lived? I ask myself this question often. I went to a GWAR show once in 2001.
It's your lucky day, you mother loving, turdheads. GWAR is coming with some brain-melting shows and if you miss them, you'll regret it for the rest of your miserable lives. We’re joined by @nonpoint, @Crobotband, and @200StabWounds. Tickets on sale Friday, you ungrateful worms.

As a sales-person, clients use this cheat code to rip me off at times. They think, "He spent a couple hours, that's nothing." They take my knowledge and spend their $$$$ with the lowest bidder. It took me decades to learn how to pack years of knowledge into 5-10 minute convos.
People undervalue those who bring thousands of hours in experience, to a 5-10 minute conversation. Get into rooms with them as often as you can. Those years of experience condensed in brief conversations is a cheat code.

Super excited to listen to Brandon on the airwaves again:
Becoming a millionaire was both the HARDEST and the EASIEST thing I've done. Here are 7 lessons I learned along the way, so YOU can take this same journey:

Really enjoyed my chance to enjoy a night with Bobby Weir last night as the road led him through town.

So excited to pay my final 2022 estimated-taxes with a new credit card to get a fresh bonus like a good money nerd, but the IRS credit card payment system is down today FYI.

Mortgage salespeople are HUNGRY out there! Broker pulled my credit on Friday as we were looking at buying a new property. Today 50+ cold callers called me wanting to ask about my refinance. Jeesh.

Just ran into a first-love at a restaurant bar while waiting for a table. We hadn't seen or spoken to each other in 16+ years. We've both moved on, but the emotions were still rough to revisit since we mostly shared good memories together.

I'm a customer-service guy first. A sales-person second. But I do enjoy getting paid like a sales-person. Give me a high-percentage of profit to close deals and I'll work out a deal to make everyone happy.
Being super responsive is a skill that prints money and requires no talent.

I was in a similar situation this summer... Finally got the nerve to make the call, and the client was like, "I lost your number and I've been waiting for your call. I'm ready to spend $30K!!!" Should have called a month earlier. Almost lost the sale being afraid of nothing.
Was dreading a conversation for weeks. Thought it could result in a fight, maybe lawsuit. Called today. Super friendly, easily solved. Pick up the phone and make the call!

As stressful as the idea is, it's important to remember that a recession is a normal part of an economic cycle. Just like the good times, the bad times don't last forever. We will get through this.

I've come in 2nd place on a few single family homes, but ended up getting the house because the best offer fell through. Looking back, the money I saved trying to buy a deal was insignificant. Should have just bought a strong property at a strong and fair price.
If you see a great deal, offer full-price and let the broker double-end it. It doesn’t matter that you think you can save $50k if you come in a bit lower. Get the deal now.

Same thing with long term rentals: a potential tenant criticizes your nice home before renting, they'll only have more to say once renting, bye!
Red flag: A guest who asks you 30 questions before booking. You think it's bad now? Just wait till they get inside your home...

Our monthly expenses used to be around $2k. Now that our net-worth is $700k with $2500k a month in rental and dividend income, we splurge on fun stuff more so our monthly expenses are around $3500. Wild to think that's still below average when we feel like we live like royalty.
The avg. monthly expenses per household is $5,111. That makes annual spending over $60k My avg. monthly expenses are around $1500. Annual spending is less than $20k! Being average is expensive...

Replace *companies with *investors, and I identify being an investor in times like this.
My mentor told me today there are two types of companies in times like this: Ones that are panicking and ones that are preparing.
He's right... This doesn't mean you have to be an a**-kisser or fake being yourself. It means you should be well-read, well-experienced, and well-versed to identify and help solve people's unique pain points.
One thing you have to accept is that people do business with people that they like. It’s important to work on your social skills constantly.
