Ethereum ecosystem = Shopping at 5 stores for your groceries Maybe this is why Solana app revenue is 3x Ethereum's in the last month?

The effort to build something is nearing zero. Feels like distribution and assets are really all that’s left. Bullish social media, search engines, influencers, and niche businesses with a savvy team willing to lean into AI.

DeFi Dad is right, but so is StarkNet. I spent 4 years building on StarkNet, because it was the best tech for what our team was building. But I also spent 4 years hoping (and actively trying) to see BD and marketing at StarkNet function in a way that didn’t scare off builders, users, and investors. Largely I think the issues came from a structure that is engineer focused, with community and marketing being second class citizens, under funded, and poorly staffed. In addition to this, the delineation between StarkNet and StarkWare from an org level was poorly managed. Marketing and comms were driven by StarkWare which was a mistake because those at StarkNet weren’t able to be fully in control of their own ship. (Hence why we saw cringe branding and comms that never cohesively took a consistent shape). However, with that said, I believe a lot of that is being resolved or already done. Today StarkNet is one of the few L2s still growing. Still shipping. Still providing novel open source research. AND most importantly their tech stack may actually be integral to keeping assets safe. StarkNet’s founder co-founded Zcash, he was an early BTC adopter, huge supporter of Ethereum, and is now fully leaning into post quantum via StarkNet. It’s easy to hate, especially in the hellhole that crypto can be, but don’t ignore what they’re building. Long live StarkNet.
This team has been insufferable for years In-fucking-sufferable to watch Idk anyone who uses it Idk a single protocol on it anymore But you are always here bitching like a whiny petulant child Raise money off L2 hype, brag to us you’re the best tech, FUD Ethereum, and cry when no one uses you. Just fuck off already @Starknet

Consider a world where we harvest resources from asteroids. It’s unrealistic to assume we can simply deliver all the pieces and parts for critical machinery and life supporting systems. Which makes it’s impossible to reliably harvest, because if a problem arises it’s either shut down and abort (if possible) or die. Space is unforgiving. So in order to reliably survive the inevitable breakdown of critical systems, a machine that can simply build what you need on demand is essential. This is the seed of what could turn into that machine.
After six years in stealth, Atomic Machines is out. Our mission: on-demand, universal command of matter. First beachhead: the Matter Compiler, an AI-native manufacturing system that builds working micro-machines from code alone. No per-product tooling. No process development. Different code, different machine.

For TCG collectibles to hold value long-term, we will need verifiable authenticity that is irrefutable. Personally, I still believe NFTs are the best current technology for that. However, I like the idea where physical is paired with digital. When you trade/sell you transfer certificate of authenticity. Some edge cases/unanswered questions: - What happens if physical card is damaged - What happens if onchain version is lost/stolen - Where does the value hold (onchain or physical)

The subscription model for services are going to die off in the next few decades. People simply do not want to track and manage dozens of subscriptions. Something like 50% of people have a subscription they don't use and have been paying it for 18+ months. Per use systems I believe will be much more prevalent. These allow users to: Create an account -> Use on demand -> Get charged for what they use -> Reduce surface area for hacks/security risks. Some interesting tech is already developing that may help blaze the trail to make this much easier: - x402 (via Coinbase and the new x402 foudnation) - MPP via Stripe/Tempo
