WebStorm 2026.2 is out!
Large TypeScript codebase? This release has your back.
TS 7 ships out of the box, no migration needed. We tested it on Kibana, and project load time went from ~12s to ~3s.
What’s more, GitHub Copilot is now natively integrated (no plugin setup required), and the new agent skills manager lets your AI agents carry knowledge of your stack across every project and session.

An IDE was never just a fancy typing app.
Here’s why that matters even more now 📹👇
An agent writes the code now. Do you still need an IDE?
You do if you want to understand and verify what the agent did.
🎥 In our new video, we talk about the role of an IDE now that humans aren't the only ones working on the code. youtu.be/AHFGMkzrfwM

JetBrains Air is now available in WebStorm 2026.3 EAP 5, bringing agentic development closer to the IDE, with your choice of coding agents, support for parallel workflows, and IDE-native review and verification.
⌘2 on macOS / Alt+2 on Windows and Linux will open the Agent Session tool window instead of Bookmarks. Ctrl+Ctrl on any platform will open a quick input window instead of Run Anything.

If you open WSL projects in WebStorm, just open them directly — that's Native mode, and it's the one we'd recommend as your default 🎯
Here's why we're confident in saying that: jb.gg/wsl-native-mode
Already using it? Tell us how it holds up in the replies.
