Can someone please identify the species of owls calling and the tree in the middle. These owls get mobbed by crows on a weekly basis.

Rocky ridge line and a couple of goldenrod.

Stepping off the side of the rock & then walking to the grassy bald meadows at the top of the ridge.

This accident occurred about a week ago coming up & out of a deep gap with a curve where many have crashed through the years. I have been cleaning up the debris for a few days scattered up & down the road. Many crosses on trees along this 20 mile scenic highway. Be careful folks.

Up on my thinking rock. Discovered this spot in 2012 Breezy with 20 mph gusts & 58 degrees. A half mile 40 yard wide, flat top knob with many small grassy balds, forest & rocks at the edge on each side of ridge. Have been seeing monarch butterflies migrating & whitetail deer.
