So excited to see CellOracle out!! Congratulations @kenjikamimoto68!!
At last! Happy to share our paper on CellOracle – a computational method for dissecting cell identity via network inference and in silico gene perturbation, led by the amazing @kenjikamimoto68: nature.com/articles/s41586-0…

We have a new version of this preprint! There are 2 key changes - we now show that scMPRA works in mouse retina (!), and we finally implemented the second U6 transcript to detect unexpressed promoters. Siqi worked really hard on this so please check it out 🙂
Check out the latest preprint from our lab by my dear friend Siqi :) He developed a method to perform MPRAs in single cells and show that it can be used to detect cell-type specific regulation and cell-to-cell variability in cis-regulatory elements!

Very excited to talk about this collaborative work @morris_lab! We will have Capybara take us on a journey through some interesting biological systems!!
The Capybara whisperer @WenjunK will be speaking about measuring hybrid cell identity and state transitions in reprogramming (and our new favorite paradigm, hematopoiesis) on Monday!
Super excited to get hooded by @morris_lab!!! Now we are pros for the attire 😆!
Dr. Kong @WenjunK is graduating! We are feeling extra fancy today

Well, I never expected to write “giant rodent bouncer” in a scientific perspective piece, but here we are. My thoughts on Capybara for cell identity profiling 👇
Congrats @WenjunK @EstebanMazzoni @morris_lab et al!

So mixed feelings watching our dearest capybara finally out in the world. It is still a baby but a strong independent one, built by collaborative forces in the @morris_lab! Hope it grows better with more real world problems! May Capy be treated with gentle, love, and critiques!
Our latest paper is online @CellStemCell! Capybara: A computational tool to measure cell identity and fate transitions cell.com/cell-stem-cell/full… led by @WenjunK
Thanks a bunch to everyone who came to my defense today!! It has been a long and amazing journey. And this is truly a lovely and big reveal/surprise! Special thanks and shout out to our amazing PI @morris_lab! I can’t be more fortunate to be a part of this lovely team!
So happy to share and talk about Capy! Thanks @morris_lab and @Stowers_SRC for the chance to talk about Capy/Colin - Colin is making baby steps to get into the world!
I have a fantastic transatlantic talk partner in @WenjunK - and thanks for introducing Colin to the world 😂

Possibly the very first transatlantic tandem-talk?

Hi, I'm Samantha Morris. 👋
I'm a researcher @WUSTLmed and my lab focuses on reprogramming cell identity to generate cells to repair diseased and damaged organs. Today we take over the official #WashUMed account for #STATMadnessChats!
