understanding how NFP differs from contraception is an iq gate and I’m tired of pretending it isn’t
Because NFP is Catholic contraception. It’s funny that some think Humanae Vitae was issued to condemn contraception. It was issued to permit contraception just using certain means. Precisely because the modernists knew the “nuances” would fool everyone. It clearly worked.

The top 11 most conservative groups were all present in significant numbers in colonial America. Conservatism mostly comes down to ancestral proximity to Northern and Western Europe. Can you easily identify yourself with the Founding Stock or not?
Most liberal US ancestry groups: Blacks, Indians, Jews, Hispanics, and Asians broadly are liberal. The most conservative are the Dutch, Germans, Swiss, Swedes, Scots, and Anglo-Welsh. The most conservative groups are founding stock Heritage Americans. Follow: @AFpost

tl;dr from Trent Horn's new video: Church teaching has already changed from what Scripture & Tradition approved on D.P. for adulterers/thieves, anti-semitism, and slavery, therefore no problem with another change. youtube.com/watch?v=PcB795zI…

He also throws in a good reference to usury. While his argument boils down to "the Church has changed her teaching plenty of times and you liked it then", he never addresses the problem of which of the conflicting magisterial statements you should submit to and why

His response to "Innocent III supported the death penalty" is quite literally "Well, Innocent III was an antisemite too" and that's it. The whole attempt is sophomoric and disappointing

The desire for social acceptability is a poison that corrupts men's wills and makes them weak. All principles yield before a weak character
Conservatives, including religious conservatives, were silent as Wokeness prevented young white men from getting into college and getting hired. Further, they had nothing to say as American jobs were taken by H1B type visas and illegal immigration. At this point, it is safe to ignore any further prescriptions they have to offer.

The Sisters of Charity have a median age of 87 years old. No one has joined the community since the 1990s. It's just a bunch of leftist elderly women in pants. It will cease to exist in 10-20 years. They can safely be ignored.
NEW: An order of New York nuns founded in 1817 has rebuked the bishops who laid hands on President Trump 12 days before the midterms. “Images carry messages,” the Sisters of Charity wrote. “Silence carries messages, too.” The nuns have a powerful ally in Pope Leo XIV, who has put women at the center of his leadership. They now run three Vatican dicasteries, a larger share than in Trump’s cabinet. thelettersfromleo.com/p/new-…

White college graudates are bizarre. They are materially harmed by every Dem policy (crime, housing, education, taxes, healthcare) yet a majority of them vote Dem and many of those are passionate libtards. Probably a substitute for religious belief but even then it is strange

It was 120 years between the beginning of the Avignon Papacy and when the Knights Templar were suppressed and massacred till the end of the Western Schism when the final antipope resigned. Things don't change for the better unless good men press for change and persistently
The Avignon papacy, which everyone agrees was an unmitigated disaster for the Church, lasted for seventy years and subsequently triggered a schism that lasted for forty years. Did the saints who lived during the Avignon papacy remain passive and resigned to the crisis out of a spirit of obedience to the Holy See? No. St Catherine of Siena pleaded with the popes to leave Avignon and derided those responsible for the pope's remaining in France as “incarnate demons." And she did so not out of rebelliousness but sincere devotion and faithfulness to the papacy and to the pope. We must do the same during the present crisis. To remain passive and to allow the Church and the papacy to be wounded by the crisis would be the very opposite of faithfulness.

Replying to @poperespecter1
@poperespecter1 is a very good example of how a lack of charity clouds the intellect. You do not understand what any of this means, and you cannot recognize the complexity of the issue because you do not love.
Love how the "no salvation outside the church" guys get furious when I point out that people outside the church are not saved. By the way, I have never been an "all people go to heaven" sort of guy.

Madalyn Murray O'Hair embezzled hundreds of thousands of dollars from donations to her organization. An ex-employee (and fellow atheist) kidnapped her, kept her captive for a month, took the money she had embezzled, then killed her and dismembered her body.
Be atheist. Be happy ❤️

Some theories are circulating online about the Latin Mass pilgrimage, spread by people unconnected with it. Some clarity below — Organisers asked for permission for the Vatican Mass, via a letter delivered directly to Pope Leo by Bishop Schneider in December. The pilgrimage is in its 15th year, and is always held on the same date. Organisers received no answer about the Mass until August, when the Secretariat of State replied to say they could not have Mass in the Vatican. Pilgrimage organisers then announced publicly that no Mass would take place in the Vatican. Instead, pilgrims would process into the Vatican at 1pm on the Saturday, and then go to St Mary Major for a 3pm Mass. Permission for the procession into the Vatican was granted in April 2026. Weeks after this, in September, St Peter’s announced an event taking place at 3:30pm at the Altar of the Chair (used by the pilgrimage last year for Mass). Then this week – just yesterday I am told – organisers received another letter from the Secretariat of State informing them they could not even process into the Vatican as planned, and as permitted since April. Basilica events are not the prerogative of the Secretariat but of the Archpriest & the Fabric of St Peter’s: hence why the Secretariat of State’s involvement is so strange. On Saturday, pilgrims walked through the streets up to the obelisk in St. Peter’s Square – accompanied by Italian state police – where they were stopped by the Vatican as this was the limit of the Italian police’s jurisdiction. Then they were informed that their usage of St Mary Major’s had changed: they could only be inside for an hour. Thus meaning that the planned and authorised pontifical solemn Mass would have to be a low Mass. Also St Mary Major’s informed pilgrimage that no official photos could be taken

Fernandez has penned a modernist document (literally). Lots of slop about how Faith is an experience, an encounter. He explicitly denies transmission of the faiith as trasnmitting 'a body of doctrinal content or knowledge' but instead community building. He condemns 'proselytism'
JUST IN: Vatican publishes Cardinal Fernández’s new document on the transmission of faith Called Venite ad me it deals with "Considerations on the Transmission of the Faith in an Epochal Change" Fernández outlines that the document is chiefly to promote refleciton & discussion – “without, however, claiming to settle the matter, which remains open to further analysis and development.” Hence, the text is “not marked...by terminological precision and systematic treatment, but instead allow a more discursive style, as is especially evident in the section on personal testimonies mentioned above” Analysis soon on @CatholicHerald
