I was reading @Croydonist and came across the article about this Sunday’s SoCro Art fair and in that saw a picture of me talking to artist Simon Bailey artist at last year’s event 😃 So here it is. Details of this year’s event in second picture ❤️

Julio Le Parc at Tate Modern. The installations using light as the main medium were amazing but I was particularly drawn to the artworks and sculptures using his special 14 colour palette 🌈

Yesterday small person and I went to see the @KoestlerArts exhibition at @southbankcentre (where the artists are in prison or equivalent institutions) - all the more powerful because this year’s exhibition was curated by people whose parents were incarcerated 🧡

Streatham Festival’s StreatArt events are coming 😃 - the festival launch is Friday 9th. I’ll have some of my work at the Railway Pub by Streatham Common Station and a couple of things in the library art exhibition. And on Saturday 10th I’ll be the library art market 😃

Over the summer I’ve been working on this pencil drawing of Michael Kiwanuka - wanting to capture something of his introspection. And then this week we learned that he and his family are on a long and arduous journey of recovery after a stroke he had last year ❤️
I was lucky to get to spend a day volunteering at the wonderful Koestler Arts recently. They run an annual arts competition for prisoners, young offenders, secure patients and immigration detainees and here are some of the entries that caught my eye.

It’s 4 years since we let the universe know that we were ready for a cat and it sent us a little scrap of a kitten. The little kitten blossomed into a beautiful (albeit still tiny) cat and become one of my muses. And she now features on some of my cards and prints 😻
