I truly love football, the friendships, the business side, and the tactical / athletic on-field battles. But it’s killing my dad right now; this pic could be him. All I can say when I see this is that guys deserve facts so they can make informed choices about playing. #cte #nfl
One Bears great paying his respects to another -- @olin_kreutz and Steve McMichael.

Rep. Burgess Owens (R-UT) calls out NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell for the league's now-defunct procedure of race-norming, which assumed Black players start at a lower cognitive function than non-Black players when evaluating brain injuries and determining compensation.

Finally! A judge that gets it! Kudos to Judge Karen Scholer for granting discovery and ruling appropriately in this #NFL disability case.

Democratic Rep. Bill Pascrell is calling for Clarence Thomas to resign. "Clarence and Ginni Thomas have participated in one of the worst breaches of trust ever seen in our court system. Clarence Thomas cannot possibly be seen as a neutral actor but instead as a corrupt jurist."

It is truly sad to see these professional sports leagues continue to neglect the pioneers of the game. Another former ABA player dies waiting on pension from NBA. He left behind a chilling photo. msn.com/en-us/sports/nba/ano…

Anyone who would fight against her own people to support an organization that has race normed thousands of retired black & brown players with brain damage...then support the NFL's effort to NOT hire head black coaches should not be the one that Amazon is looking to for support!

There is little I hate worse than asking for $, but Advocacy for Fairness in Sports is very low on funds to continue our work. If you support what we do, a donation of any size would be deeply appreciated. Donations 501(c)(3) are tax-deductible. advocacyforfairnessinsports.…

You’re exactly right! The league certainly hasn’t wanted to acknowledge the truth but I’ll continue to shed light because these men aren’t machines and they sacrifice their lives to play America’s fav sport.

TRUTH by @mikefreemanNFL "This story reminded me of when Dr. Omalu first diagnosed CTE & how he was basically shunned by the NFL. That's b/c acknowledging Omalu meant the league would have to accept the humanity of its players. But many in the league can't do that. Won't do that"

My latest on the decade-old (!) #NFL concussion case. Thousands of #Black retirees can now seek to be rescored, retested for dementia awards. Ex-#Steelers Najeh Davenport, Kevin Henry sounded the alarm w/2020 lawsuit.
Black retired football players denied payments for dementia in the NFL's $1 billion concussion settlement can seek to be retested or have their claims rescored to eliminate racial bias in the testing and payout formula, under a plan approved by a judge. apne.ws/U24DoR0

"Ours is a slow death, declining in health. You watch so many players…and the sad thing is that the wives are the ones, or the girlfriends, who are stuck to pick up the pieces. That’s why I wish they’d do better by NFL players, with healthcare and the pension.”

Wishful thinking...maybe things are different in the UK. Here the feds seem to protect the interest of sports over concepts like fairness and justice.

The same way they new that algorithms would be built into the NFL Concussion testing to disqualify black & brown retired players from receiving their concussion benefits. It seems that everything that this organization does to suppress men of color is organized and calculated!
How, exactly, could the NFL know the claims by Flores are “without merit” two hours after the suit emerged?
