Whenever someone makes a flippant joke they get an explanation in a way people asking genuine questions don’t. So I’m going to make a flippant joke about how you get admonished for being five minutes late to a doctor’s appointment but the doctor is allowed to run 45 minutes late.
I have been waiting for twenty minutes. The receptionist is helping someone who is interpreting for someone who isn’t in the room and the receptionist is a very slow talker so I’m not going to be able to talk to her for a while
