These are some of the servicemen from my novels. Can you recognise them? Their stories are fictional. The courage and sacrifice of those who served were real. Today we remember those who served, those who returned and those who never came home. We will remember them. 🌺 🎖️
I've been unwell, so things went quiet. The trouble with being an indie author? I AM the entire PR department, and apparently everyone went on sick leave! 😂 But I'm back, with a new time-travel romance. The lovers' secret phrase? "It's just a jump to the left…" 😉

A Sunday evening in 1919… A roaring fire, snow falling over the Scottish Highlands, and a little cottage where love might find you when you least expect it. ❤️ Would you stay? #HistoricalRomance #ScottishRomance

🎃 Feeling scared this Halloween? A roaring fire, a ghost story and a handsome leading man to cuddle up to. ❤️ Of course, if something goes bump in the night, he's investigating. I'm staying under the blanket! 😂 #HalloweenRomance #HistoricalRomance

🎃 Halloween in the 1920s and 1930s wasn't all sweets and scary films! Apple bobbing, fortune-telling games, ghost stories and perhaps a little romance. ❤️ Would you have enjoyed an old-fashioned Halloween party? #VintageHalloween #HistoricalRomance

🪞 Seven years' bad luck for a broken mirror. Salt over your left shoulder. Never walk beneath a ladder! From 1915 to 1946, old superstitions were still part of everyday life, especially during uncertain wartime years. Which one do you still believe? 👀

During WWII, a letter from home could mean everything to a serviceman far away. News, affection, ordinary little details — reminders of the life waiting for him. My new WIP, The Letters We Kept, explores a romance that begins with two strangers and a letter. 💌

Kids on half-term. No 5.30 am alarm, but my body woke me anyway. 😂 Thought I'd use the peace to fix ONE sentence in my manuscript. Four hours later, someone new has a tragic backstory and the original sentence is still there. #AuthorLife #WritersLife

Half-term, then and now! In the 1930s, children played outside while Mum tackled the washing, cooking and endless housework. Today, many of us juggle all that AND paid work. For those of us who aren't full-time homemakers, that's two jobs for the next week. God save us all! 😂

I knew Britain had food rationing during WWII, but I hadn't realised it continued until 1954! Imagine trying to put together a Sunday roast with your meat ration. 😳 The world has its problems, but at least we're not back there… yet! #BritishHistory #Rationing

🎃 You’re never too old for Halloween! A throwback to getting ready for my daughter’s first Disney Halloween event in Florida! She’s 16 now, and we STILL trick-or-treat. ❤️ I also have a secret trick for apple bobbing… which has sneaked into my latest WIP! 🍎

Normal people see a handsome stranger. Romance writers see a troubled duke, a tragic past and an inconvenient inheritance. 😂❤️ We really can’t help ourselves! Anyone else have an overactive imagination? #RomanceWriter #WriterHumour #EleanorWhitlock

A pastor’s daughter. A strikebreaker. Two people on opposite sides of the 1926 General Strike. ❤️ Can love survive divided loyalties? A Quiet Fire in May, published by Evernight Publishing. Do you love an opposites-attract romance? #HistoricalRomance #EvernightPublishing

On my commute this morning, two people were chatting in a language I didn’t recognise, suitcases beside them. Naturally, I invented an entire romance before my stop. 💕 Does anyone else make up stories about strangers? #RomanceWriter #WriterLife

Christmas cake planning has begun! 🎄 Buying the fruit, gathering ingredients and keeping a family tradition alive. At Glenbruar Cottage, I imagine Maggie and Andrew singing Christmas songs into wooden spoons. 😂❤️ Are you an early planner? #ChristmasRomance #WritingLife
