Shump might be the last hope for what basketball was meant to be.
Iman Shumpert goes off on anyone calling for the NBA to shorten its 82 game season, arguing that players should focus on conditioning and changing how they play instead of reducing the number of games.
Shumpert points to legends like Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, John Stockton and Gary Payton, who played 82 game seasons, questioning why today’s players need fewer games. He believes the league should bring back more physical basketball, with players attacking the post, taking midrange shots, playing through contact and cutting down on flopping and exaggerated moves.
He also questions how much extra time players would actually gain from shortening the season, arguing that changing the way the game is played may be a better solution to the injury problem.

Everyone who’s saying “trade Lamar Jackson” better be careful what they wish for because another QB of his caliber is never walking through the ravens facility EVER AGAIN .

Lamar Jackson fought his way back from a high ankle sprain in just three weeks, only to suffer a potentially season-ending injury on his first play back.
Forget the contract talks and outside narratives.
I just hope Lamar is doing okay mentally after everything he’s been through this season.

Lamar has missed 7 games since the start of the 2023 season. No surgeries. Damn we are prisoners of the moment. 10 NFL starting QBs have missed more games in the same time period. Not one word about them. We saw a 300LB dude fall in him & we dismiss it. Herd mentality is rampant.
This is maybe the realest shit I’ve ever seen a former player say.
Instantly became one of my favorite former players now lol
