What you don’t understand is that at the time all Real Madrid fans supported Vinicius. I can bet you that not a single one of Vini haters now supported Rodrigo’s “stolen Ballon D’or” but guess what, he developed a stinking attitude that was difficult to defend and on the pitch his performances degraded whilst having the habit of disrespecting his opponents on a daily basis.
That besides he publicly disrespected his coach and even after having a hand in his sacking he backed that up by not mentioning his name in his apology letter neither did he send a farewell message.

Imagine being so desperate to play for your dream club, a club that employed your idol, a club of your desire, a club you would do anything to play for. Then circumstances happen, which postpones your arrival for years and then you finally join one way or the other.
The club’s fans welcome you with open arms and you also promise yourself to help them anyhow you can to make them happy and proud of having you.
But unfortunately ever since you joined things haven’t gone as planned although you are trying your best to make an impact but your capabilities alone can’t help. Key players losing form, the club not replacing important core of the team and mediocre players having untouchable status in the lineup.
But you’ve tried your best to stay consistent by doing your job so well that even in a blank season you are still in contention to be awarded the best player in the world.
Then your own fans start calling you self centered, a disgrace, wrong signing and all that despite everyone clearly witnessing that you are one of the few players doing your job properly, exposing you to opposing fans to harass you as well.
That said, some of the club’s media pages chance upon every opportunity to discredit whatever you are doing at the club with fans of your own club going as far as rather campaigning for players from other clubs to be awarded the Best player in the world title.
NOW the footballer Mbappe aside I’m imagining what “the man” Mbappe is going through, what he must be thinking, what his options might be, what lessons he might be learning, how long he’s willing to endure that pain, the lone blame when things go wrong and all other possibilities.
Just put yourself in “the man’s” shoes for a moment and think it through.
Now how do we feel? Despite achieving early success in his career he’s now in the moment of pain and suffering. But from his own fans? The club of his life? His dream club? The same club he rejected millions for? Ask yourself, have you treated “the man” right? Have you felt his pain? Have you put yourself in his shoes for once? Is he not trying to do his job? So what else must “the man” do?
Football is a team sport and everyone has to bring out their best to achieve the common goal, but as he’s giving his best others are past their best but are still called untouchables. How is the team going to function even? But who takes the blame?
