It double works! Tested it in the laptop it's designed for today and got 2 SSDs showing up and working from the single NVMe slot. More info and 'instructions' here: github.com/a-little-wifi/Lat…
In theory this can be applied to any slot that provides more than 1 PCIe lane off of the PCH in an Intel machine, as long as you can find the appropriate version of the Flash Image Tool and have a bifurcation board the physically fits where you want it.
It works!

So as you could probably already tell, I've got my hands on some E4310's with Latitude ON, the funny 2nd little PC inside the laptop with an ARM CPU. After a day of messing around I've already got some interesting things to tell about it.
Oh right of course, there's FCC pics of that one as well. fccid.io/E2K-DWBT2/Internal-…
It was quite difficult to get the 3rd main wifi antenna routed back to the UWB slot, but it just barely reaches and seems to work quite nicely.
All 3 miniPCIe slots in this machine have PCIe and USB wired up to them and no whitelist shenanigans, so I can put in whatever I want!

On the E4300, it gets converted straight from the OMAP's RGB output to LVDS, while on the E4310 it gets converted straight to eDP. I really have no idea why they jammed VGA in the middle there on the Z600.
