Can AI help researchers move faster while using less energy?
An independent analysis by Sustainable AI Group estimates that Landscape View in Wiley Applied Research Intelligence (ARI) uses about 88% less generative AI energy and carbon than an LLM-only approach built for comparison.*

*The 88% figure is an estimate that covers the generative AI components of ARI Landscape View only, and it does not represent the full footprint of ARI or of Wiley. It was produced by Sustainable AI Group using its CLEER methodology and token counts supplied by Wiley, and it has not been measured or audited. The comparison covers one Alzheimer’s disease run of each approach, with ARI’s one-time extraction cost shared across 10 runs.
