🚨SAM ALTMAN SAYS OPENAI IS PLANNING SELF REPLICATING AI DATA CENTERS
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman just revealed plans to use AI controlled robots to build new data centers, manufacture computer chips and construct the energy infrastructure needed to power advanced AI systems.
Speaking with John Collison on the Cheeky Pint podcast, Altman said the idea of self replicating data centers is now within reach.
The proposal involves using AI to control robots capable of operating semiconductor factories, manufacturing turbines and solar panels, and constructing new data centers.
Not only will there be self improving AI focused on software capable of designing more advanced versions of themselves, AI will also be able to build the infrastructure needed to support its own continued development.
We are looking down the barrel at a very different rate of technological progress than anything we've experienced before.

I really appreciate all the birthday wishes & support. While I wasn't traveling today. I was productive. I worked my day job, visited with the board of a local electrical coop & talked with a service provider for folks with disabilities who operates in multiple counties in the district. I also got some yard work done & enjoyed pizza & cake with my wife and youngest kid.
Over my 54 years, I've come to some conclusions. Take em or leave em.
- do unto others as you would have them do unto you
- surround yourself with hardworking people
- be present in the moment, rather than dwelling/dreading the future
- gratitude & empathy go a long way
- live a life of no regrets
Friday is another "office day." Back on the trail Saturday with the MN DFL Get Out the Vote Bus Tour with stops in Fergus Falls & Moorhead. I haven't decided if I should bring the Get Out the Vote Boat or the Town Hauler, we're gonna start a convoy. Kamala Harris: These folks cut Medicaid by $1 trillion. Medicaid covers half the births in America through the health care resources it provides. Medicaid provides the majority of maternal health care in America.
They cut SNAP benefits. SNAP benefits are to feed hungry children, to help make sure our elders don’t go hungry.
Yet these are the same hypocrites who walk around talking about their family values. And they think we’re not paying attention.

THANK YOU PENNINGTON COUNTY! 170ish folks showed up for our Fish Fry Town Hall in Thief River Falls last night. The local group of volunteers led by Paul did an incredible job organizing and executing. Once again, roughly half of the room were 1st time connections. Another memorable evening of breaking bread and creating community.
37 down and only 1 to go. We will wrap up the #FishFryTownHall Tour in Wadena on Monday, Nov. 2nd at the historic Depot. The place where this quest began on March 11th, 2025.
