đ¨INCREDIBLE: A 3-year-old was kidnapped from a public library. 48 minutes later, he was on a city bus crying next to his kidnapper â and no one knew.
No one except the bus driver.
In Milpitas, California, driver Tim Watson had heard the police alert earlier that day: Missing 3-year-old boy, city-wide search underway.
Then a man boarded his bus with a small boy who wouldn't stop crying. Something felt wrong.
Tim looked closer. The face. The clothes. The description. It was him.
But he couldn't scream. He couldn't confront him. One wrong move and that little boy could be in even more danger.
So Tim came up with a plan.
He got on the intercom and told passengers: "Someone reported a missing green backpack, I'm going to take a quick look."
He started walking the aisle, pretending to search for a backpack â but he was really getting a close look at the child.
It was the missing boy.
Tim quietly radioed dispatch, alerted police, and then did the hardest thing of all â he sat back down, stayed calm, and kept driving like nothing happened, with the alleged kidnapper sitting just feet behind him.
He kept that bus rolling until police intercepted it. Officers swarmed the bus, arrested the man, and scooped that terrified little boy into safety.
That child is home with his family tonight because one bus driver trusted his gut and stayed cool under pressure.
He's not a cop. He's not a hero who was supposed to be there.
He's Tim Watson â a bus driver who saw a child in danger and refused to look away.
This man deserves to be recognized.đ

My grandad's is a similar story. He came back broken and drank himself to death. He never saw retirement or my parents get married. He had trials with Stoke City FC, went to war missed playing professionally, but did play for the army team. RIP. I wish I got to meet you.
This is real. One of my grandfathers was pulled out of the Philippine jungle, where he'd been eating rats he stabbed with a knife on a pole. They put him on a boat to the US, and let him off in SF with a train ticket and zero other steps. Have a nice life, sorry about all your buddies getting killed!
He came back to MA, married my grandmother, had a kid. Haunted by nightmares and drinking heavily, he lost his mind, went back to Cali, started a second family. Then wracked with guilt and also more nightmares he left them, came back to his first family.
For the rest of his life he had to sleep in a separate bed, because if you got near him while he was sleeping he might wake up trying to kill you. He kept a sawed off double barrel 12ga under his car seat and pulled it on people multiple times.
He was generally jolly, fun loving, fearless, and generous. But about certain things was on a hair trigger and would become violent, mean, and triggered to drink heavily.
He was a fireman who risked his life to save children from burning buildings in the era before good safety gear, and he also stole a slice of land from the town with forged paperwork.
As the eldest grandson of his eldest son he'd plop me in the car seat of his gigantic 70's Lincoln, and drive me around aimlessly, no speaking, no radio, "running errands". Occasionally he'd break the silence to tell me a fragment of a crazy war story, or to give me life advice about women or how to fight or why to never, ever join the military unless the Continental US was under attack.
He was a complicated man who left much unsaid to the end of his days. He was one of my childhood heroes.
This will be another own goal. 4 Chan laughed at them in American courts. They havent paid the fine and they never will. We look like idiots on the world stage.
đ¨ NEW: Ofcom says all adults should have to use their ID to access social media.
⢠Ofcom has recommended four methods for verifying usersâ ages ahead of the UKâs ban on social media for under-16s, which is due to come into force in March next year.
⢠The four methods suggested, subject to government approval, are photo ID matching, banking-based checks, live facial age estimation and digital ID.
⢠The regulator noted that verifying the ages of 16 and 17-year-olds is challenging because many do not have credit cards, full driving licences or passports.
⢠Ofcom chief executive Dame Melanie Dawes said the ban can work if firms carry out highly effective age checks, and that the regulator will take action against companies that fail to comply.

The Restore Britain Budget.
Britain has spent decades being governed by politicians who believe the answer to every problem is yet more government - that policy has destroyed our country.
More spending. More borrowing. More regulation. More taxes. More state.
Parasitic overreach into our lives - delivered by politicians and civil servants who have no understanding or appreciation of how real wealth and opportunity is generated in the private sector.
And what have the British people received in return?
A country where working families struggle. Where businesses face punishing costs. Where young people cannot afford homes. Where failing public services demand ever more money, whilst prioritising endless third world migrants. Where inflation runs rampant.
For British men and women, it is a government-backed scam. Corrupt incompetence.
It is impossible for Britain to tax itself into prosperity. I repeat, IMPOSSIBLE.
Wealth is created by people - the public sector should exist to support the private sector, not the reverse and that is the principle which underpins our philosophy.
Restore Britain backs the farmer producing food, the white van man driving the economy, the engineer designing machinery, the shopkeeper serving customers and the entrepreneur risking everything to start a business.
It comes down to this - Restore Britain will protect their freedom to succeed.
If you work hard and contribute, we are on your side.
Our Budget would begin the work of returning power, responsibility and money to the British people.
First, the spending cuts - to come before ANY reductions in tax.
Our 20 point plan to restore prosperityâŚ
1. Freeze working-age benefit rates.
We will freeze working-age benefit rates for the duration of the first Parliament. Britain cannot indefinitely increase expenditure without considering the burden on the people funding it. That would be morally wrong. The healthy indolent will not be rewarded.
2. Restrict welfare eligibility.
No more benefits for foreigners, saving billions. No need to expand.
3. Reform sickness and disability benefits
We will overhaul eligibility, assessment procedures and return-to-work support.
People with serious disabilities and health conditions must receive appropriate protection.
But those who can work, will work. If they refuse, they will be put to work. That simple.
4. Reform pensions.
We will protect the State Pension while replacing the triple lock with annual CPI uprating. Public-sector pension arrangements will be overhauled to address differences with private-sector provision.
These measures will save tens of billions - all outlined in full in our economic paper, The Wealth Of Our Nation.
Next, take an axe to unnecessary government spending
5. The quango bonfire.
We will conduct a comprehensive review of arm's-length public bodies, the default will be abolish unless there is a serious reason to retain. Where its functions duplicate a government department, consolidate them. Deliver accountability and savings. AI will mean vast cuts are possible.
A LOT of Whitehall civil servants will lose their jobs. To be frank.
6. Freeze most departmental budgets.
We will introduce a three-year nominal spending freeze across most government departments - the main exception will be our programme of mass deportations, which in the short term will cost, however as we know, any immediate funds will be quickly recovered and then some.
7. End public spending on Net Zero.
We will end all public expenditure directed towards achieving Net Zero. Energy security will be our main priority. We will support investment in dependable domestic energy supplies, including the infrastructure needed to maintain a resilient electricity system. Energy security will be placed above any ideological dogma. If it makes Britain more resilient, we will pursue it.
8. Review government consultancy and discretionary expenditure.
We will audit consultancy contracts, procurement services, and ALL external advisory work - spending that cannot demonstrate a clear public benefit should end.
The procurement scam will end.
All bullshit ESG and social value nonsense will be stripped away - if the public sector wants to use a third party firm, make it the best one - subject to right-to-work checks to ensure no illegals are being employed.
As stated - spending cuts first, then tax cuts. Done carefully and responsibly. Hereâs an overview of how a Restore Britain Government will lift the tax burdenâŚ
9. Raise the income tax personal allowance to ÂŁ16,000.
Nobody should be paying income tax on their first ÂŁ16,000 of earnings.
We will raise the personal allowance and extend the basic-rate income tax band to ÂŁ100,000.
We will also restore the full personal allowance to higher earners, ending the withdrawal that creates exceptionally high effective marginal tax rates.
Success will be rewarded, hard work will be rewarded, ambition will be rewarded.
10. Cut corporation tax.
We will introduce a zero corporation tax rate on the first ÂŁ50,000 of company profits.
Above that threshold, we will restore the headline rate to 19%, with a longer-term ambition of 15%. As soon as fiscal conditions allow.
Letâs give small businesses the genuine breathing room to get their operation off the ground, and then use the corporation tax cut to compete with our neighbours.
11. Abolish inheritance tax and stamp duty.
Families should not be punished for saving, investing and passing assets to their children.
We will abolish inheritance tax.
For farmers, for family businesses, for everyone.
The state has no claim to a family's lifetime of accumulated wealth simply because somebody has died. I detest it. It will be binned for all.
Stamp duty makes moving home more expensive, discourages mobility and creates unnecessary friction in the housing market.
We will abolish it.
12. Reduce disruptive tax.
We will cut the standard rate of VAT from 20% to 18%.
We will also raise the VAT registration threshold to ÂŁ150,000, helping smaller businesses grow without immediately facing additional tax burden. The amount of businesses hovering just under the current threshold is painful. The issue is OBVIOUS, yet nobody in government has thought to act.
And we will ditch unnecessary taxes.
We will abolish:
Insurance Premium Tax.
Air Passenger Duty.
The Climate Change Levy.
The UK Emissions Trading Scheme.
We will also substantially increase the annual Capital Gains Tax exemption.
Restore Britainâs objective is a tax system that is simpler, more predictable and less hostile to investment.
Next, we will restore a state that works for our people.
13. Hold the NHS accountable.
The NHS will remain free at the point of use for British citizens.
We propose charging non-citizens at market rates - ensuring they actually pay the bills.
We will make private healthcare expenditure tax deductible. If people want to go private, letâs make it cheaper.
Alongside far-reaching structural reform, we will demand basic improvements in patient communication. Answer the telephone. Confirm referrals. Explain test results. Keep patients informed. Use AI to clear pressure on GPs.
All patient-facing staff must demonstrate the English-language communication skills necessary to perform their roles safely. If staff canât speak English to the required standard, they will no longer have a job.
14. Restore Britainâs education system.
We will move towards greater school-level autonomy, with funding more closely linked to pupil numbers.
We will remove VAT from private education and make private education tax deductible.
We will also promote practical education, apprenticeships and stronger links between schools and employers. The aim will be to prepare children for working adulthood - full paper to come.
Apprenticeships are vital - my businesses have developed hundreds and hundreds. It works, especially with the rise of AI.
Student loan interest abolished for British nationals resident in the UK, full paper published.
An overhaul of childcare regulation and funding - led by those in the sector who know whatâs necessary and whatâs not.
Next.
The Restore Britain Budget will work to restore a self-sufficient Britain, backed by sovereign AI capabilities.
15. Support British farming and food security.
We will review the regulatory and tax burdens facing British farmers.
Food security must be recognised as a matter of national resilience and urgency. That will be central to everything.
We will make it FAR easier for domestic producers to compete for public-sector food contracts and examine ways to reduce unnecessary administration. Letâs use the public sector spend to back our own people, not import from foreign farmers.
Britain should not become increasingly dependent on imported food while making it harder for its own farmers to survive. And we desperately need to bring more young people into the industryâŚ
16. Ease pressure on transport network.
We will rebuild Britain's transport network, tackling potholes, congestion and crumbling infrastructure while improving vital freight routes and rural roads - motorists will no longer be treated as cash cows. Fuel duty cut, and plenty more. (Full paper about to be published.)
Get this right, and the whole economy is lubricated.
17. Back small businesses.
We will review regulations introduced over recent decades, with a presumption in favour of removing law. Compliance simplified, licensing stripped back. Administrative burdens burned away. Scrap IR35, obviously.
Business rates abolished for small high street businesses. Review car park charges. Boost police numbers in town centres.
Restore confidence on the high street. Bring footfall back. Watch businesses thrive.
18. Develop sovereign AI capability.
AI is coming whether we like it or not. We need to ensure that we have our own protected AI capability which can promote and defend our own interests. Weâre already falling behind, and itâs getting worse. We have the opportunity to be a genuine world-leader. Letâs pursue it.
19. A foreign policy that puts Britainâs interests first.
No endless foreign wars driving up the cost of living for ordinary families, no foreign aid unless explicitly to advance our interests. We will prioritise national security, trade, energy independence and protecting British citizens abroad.
Spending will be increased, but our armed forces exist to defend Britain and our vital national interests, not to act as the world's policeman.
20. Protect sound money and fiscal stability. This is the most important of all.
We will pursue a balanced Budget over the medium term and a declining debt-to-GDP ratio. Our aim is to cut the debt, not just the deficit.
The era of mass money printing will end. Inflation will be controlled. The cost-of-living reduced.
The aim - a Britain that belongs to its people
Every Budget promises change, while the state grows larger and the taxpayer becomes poorer.
Restore Britain offers a completely different direction.
A smaller government that spends less - all helped by a massive reduction in the number of migrants living in Britain.
Doing a small list of things, but doing them well.
A welfare state that protects genuine need and expects personal responsibility.
A tax system that rewards work, saving and enterprise.
Public services that answer to the people who fund them.
An economy built on productive businesses rather than a parasitic state.
We do not believe the British people need politicians to manage every aspect of their lives.
We believe they need the freedom to build better lives for themselves.
In short - we will stop buying votes with other peopleâs money.
Our ambition is not to make government richer.
It is to restore the prosperity of the British economy, the British nation and the British people.

Decades long. I used to do data for a well known high street shop. It meant talking to call centres around the world. Life was great woth Garth from South Africa. Great bloke and very helpful. IBM lost the contract and Garth went with it.
Enter Indian call centres. I was on a late breakdown and I needed to speak to India. I tried to get the IT guy to help me or do it for me. We batered I got called a pussy and it was my job. I rang him back and told him to call them. He did, called me back and apologised to me. I never spoke to an Indian call centre after that. We spoke to the guys in Norwich from Cable and Wireless.
There is also the time with the mobile network 3 and me having to involve Trading Standards. I will save that for another day.

The US military gets over 80% of its dogs from Europe, and fewer than half of them turn out fit for service.
South Korea hit the same wall back in 2007, and their fix sounds like a movie plot. They took their best drug-sniffing dog, a Lab named Chase, and cloned him seven times.
All seven puppies got the same name, Toppy, short for "tomorrow's puppy." They went through the customs service's detector dog program like any other recruit while researchers tracked how they did. Regular puppies made the cut about 30% of the time. The clones made it 86% of the time, and by 2009 they were working airports and harbors across the country.
That's the business case for what Palmer Luckey and Colossal's Ben Lamm just launched.
Training one of these dogs can run past $60,000. When half your dogs wash out, every dog that graduates is secretly paying for the one that didn't, so each graduate really costs you something closer to $120,000. Get the pass rate up to Korea's 86% and that drops to about $70,000. You'd knock roughly 40% off every working dog the military buys before the dog does a single thing better.
And Warhound wants the dog to do things better. Korea could only copy a great dog. Lamm's team is banking cells from top German Shepherds and Belgian Malinois and then editing the genes. According to Lamm, the dogs that fail usually fail on stuff they were born with, like bad eyesight, cancer risk, hip dysplasia and muscle wasting. So the plan is to copy the best dog they can find and fix whatever would have ended its career.
The cloning runs through ViaGen, a Texas company Colossal owns that has spent years cloning people's pets for around $50,000 a dog. Anduril builds what goes on top of the dog, like vests with sensors that feed data back to the handler. For the record, Palmer doesn't own any of it. Colossal holds the equity, and the CIA's venture fund In-Q-Tel is in the $200 million round with Sequoia.
First puppies are due early next year. Korea's clones needed 16 months of training to prove themselves. If Warhound's dogs put up anything close to those numbers, the next generation of America's war dogs gets born in Texas instead of bought from Europe.
JUST IN: Palmer Luckey's genetically modified military dog startup, Warhound, comes out of stealth, aiming to create enhanced canines for the U.S. military.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
This is NOT Palmer's company at all, his company Anduril is only supplying the tech for the dogs, and this is a wholly owed Collosal entiity

The man was a genius.
Disney has somewhere between 16 and 30 hours of Robin Williams riffing as the Genie that never made it into Aladdin. His will keeps nearly all of it locked up until August 11, 2039.
And the reason goes back to the $75,000 Disney paid him for the part.
That's him in the booth in this clip, and you can see why the tapes piled up. He kept going off script, and the animators more or less had to animate whatever came out of him. Eric Goldberg ended up building the Genie around Robin's old standup bits, and a former Disney exec later said that when he was on, he was doing about 30 jokes a minute.
$75,000 was union scale. His normal rate back then was around $8 million a movie, so he took less than 1% of what he usually got. He said he did it to make something for his kids, and he asked for one thing in return. Disney couldn't use his voice to sell toys and fast food, and the Genie couldn't take up more than a quarter of the ads.
Aladdin made over $500 million. The Genie ended up in Burger King promotions and plastered across bus shelters all over LA. When Robin complained publicly, Disney sources told the LA Times it was sour grapes over the paycheck, and the studio's line was that he'd signed off on the marketing. At some point a Picasso showed up as a peace offering, reportedly worth around $1 million.
He still refused to do the sequel. Dan Castellaneta, the voice of Homer Simpson, played the Genie instead, and Robin only came back after Disney got a new studio chief in 1994 who apologized in public.
You'd think that was the end of it. Then his estate plan went public in 2015, a year after he died.
His trust gave his name, signature, photo and likeness to a charity and blocked anyone from using them commercially for 25 years. Lawyers back then wrote about it as a way to stop somebody from making a Robin Williams hologram or dropping him into a new movie with CGI, which sounded a little out there in 2015. A former Disney exec later said that clause is why all those Genie outtakes never got turned into another Aladdin movie. When Disney made a short for its 100th anniversary in 2023, the family okayed exactly one unheard Genie line.
Then Sora 2 came out in October 2025, and suddenly anybody could make a fake Robin Williams video in a few minutes. People flooded TikTok with them, fake ads, fake award show bits. It got bad enough that his daughter Zelda posted, "Please, just stop sending me AI videos of Dad."
Those Genie tapes are going to sit in Disney's vault for almost 13 more years, because a guy who got paid $75,000 in 1992 made sure of it.

đ¨ MCDONALDâS JUST ADMITTED THEY DONâT KNOW WHATâS HAPPENING TO THEIR OWN FOOD â AND THE INTERNET IS GOING CRAZY
A guy noticed a bizarre spot on his McDonaldâs bun and posted it online because he genuinely wanted to know what the hell it was.
Then McDonaldâs showed up in the comments.
Their response?
âRan to the comments because idk eitherâ
Thatâs when people lost it.
Because if McDonaldâs doesnât know whatâs happening to its own food, who the hell does?
Another man has been documenting a McDonaldâs cheeseburger for 515 DAYS and says it still hasnât visibly rotted or molded.
The original receipt sitting next to it has literally deteriorated more than the burger itself.
He also has a 119-day-old Quarter Pounder that still appears largely intact and a 25-day-old McChicken sandwich where the lettuce is visibly deteriorating while the chicken patty barely seems to have changed.
If McDonaldâs canât even explain whatâs happening to its own food, why the hell are millions of people still eating it without asking questions?
