I created a pure Haskell implementation of tiktoken, so now you can accurately count tokens if you do prompt engineering in Haskell (especially retrieval-augmented generation) github.com/Gabriella439/tikt…

there's actually one datatype that's even cuter this is the tiniest float type that still follows all IEEE standards:
8-bit floats are literally the most adorable thing i've ever seen

I am genuinely convinced that formal modelling languages and tools should play a much more significant role in software engineering but we should improve the maintainability of proofs, just like we work hard to improve maintainability of code

Meet Philipp Körner, the PhD Symposium Chair for #ABZ2024. As a post-doctoral researcher at Heinrich Heine University @HHU_de, he focuses on embedding formal methods into programming languages, particularly, a meta-programming approach to transform formal models.

Update: It works!!! We’re able to see a 2mm wide plastic ball at 30 centimeters, with only 1/1300th of our planned transmitting power. This validates our SNR budget and gets us closer to our final goal: tracking and killing mosquitoes at a 3meters range
Currently working on a 3D ultrasonic sonar for mosquito tracking. Prototypes are in the factory right now!
