Mobile signal getting worse between Hooton and Chester so can't get the morning scroll in. Strangely warm today while in Autumn schedule mode. Have a moment for the Northern line with the planned engineering works. Good luck out there everyone!

The dreaded red box at the top of the Merseyrail website is on, some trains cancelled. It states due to overrun engineering over night. Give it a check on merseyrail.org first

That fine rain which gets you more wet than it should. The Costa crew struggling to manage a hot drink and tickets simultaneously at the ticket gates at Chester. The 0727 left perfectly from 7b with a little wheel spin, which must be cool in train world

The late 0757 turned up late at Chester. The Chester to Moorfields train just dumped a full train load at Bromborough. No reason other than just a train fault

Watched the 0658 train leave again this morning, keep forgetting this "Autumn Timetable". New ticket machines in Chester seem to work better. Chester station had a toot toot from the departing 0712. Be safe out there folks!

1710 Moorfields to Chester 3 mins late, train very busy with wet brollies taking up more room than they should. Good service this week. Just seen this on the Facebooks scroll for Hooton station.

Winter creeping in as we are in a "heat dome", 0659 perfectly on time from Chester. Chester station on the revamp with no way it seems of checking metro or tap&go.

0630 left at 0632 (did the same yesterday too), lots of yawns this time of day. This ridiculous ebike ban is warming up. As everything shoots up in price, it will effect commuters, families, kids out and about. Common Sense FFS.

Missed the 0630 train by seconds, pressed the door button as it closed, rail guard mouthed 'sorry' as it went as she stood behind the door.
Was like the scene in trainspotting where Begbie finds out the money has been nicked.

Did the slow end to end walk of Hooton platform a few times, and watched the screens still inform us of the 18:56 train cancelled from a few hours ago. Chester train back in play. I think this picture sums it up good.

Checked the website said the train was on after 12hrs at the desk, got to the station and cancelled.Could have got to Lime Street for the Wales train but ya know that be too easy. A Welfare issue at Bache. Why not still run to Hooton or Capenhurst

That's week 34 of 52 done for the day tax payer compete. The 777-019 coach A from Moorfields to Chester took one for the team with someone being sick, rail guard on it creating a DMZ with hazard tape. He did a solid there @merseyrail
