Majordomo Barnabas: "Come Master Geralt, let us commemorate the renovation of Corvo Bianco with a photograph of you near your Reginald d'Aubry statue, it'll be great for your public image." Geralt: "You wanna take a picture of me by a statue I got from chasing down some old fart who stole the testicles off of a statue? Fine. Just to be clear, I WILL NOT be stroking anything for good luck." #TheWitcher3 #thewitcher3remastered

These bonuses are pretty sweet and add a functional purpose to upgrading your estate at Corvo Bianco. Blood and Wine DLC adding some great content. #TheWitcher3 #thewitcher3remastered

Been enjoying #Witcher3 lately. Blood and Wine DLC adding a house for all your cool stuff was unexpected. Still looking for some good paintings to go on the walls though...

I'm of the belief that CDPR will continue to support 2077 and their future titles at a similar pace to what they've been doing (ER 1 to 2.0+ patches to ER 2, Witcher 3 getting content 10+ years later). Here's my denthead not-a-business-major rationale: 1. It keeps the flywheel at a higher velocity. Everytime it loses momentum, you just yank that bitch like you are on the Price is Right, and you generate more momentum that cascades into all parallel verticals. brand awareness stays up, fandom is constantly hot, top of mind awareness has a longer "half-life". 2. Content creators are given more to work with, helping with sustainability. Sustainability = consistent surface area and reach. Content creator initiatives have recently been piloted, and it would be interesting to see the data behind how much more reach this garnered. 3. Because there is always a "hero" asset in production (movies, shows, games) and "micro" assets in production (comics, etc) the trickle effect becomes a steady stream vs a on or off dial. CDPR is not shy about using 3rd parties (some have gone awry, case and point 2020's launch), but most have been fruitful. 3rd parties make resource allocation for new hero assets easier while also building up the legacy of past hero assets. 4. Brand partnership and biz dev have more magnetism and it all feeds CDPRโ€™s aggressive merchandising (which includes partnerships a lot of the time). Board games, TCG cards, statues, hoodies, and expansion sales are key for a studio not pursuing high ROI micro-transactions. Seriously, they are productizing everything, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a Jig Jig Testi-cuzzi in production. 5. A new IP gives them even more thematic/genre coverage. Depending on what Hadar is, we would have "Dark Future", "Dark Fantasy", and ____. Alongside Gwent and the most "popular" genres are covered, since I don't see them making a sports game or a fighting game (they already have spread characters like Lucy to fighting game Guilty Gear.) It all feeds back into the flywheel, which has been shared in key investors decks originating years earlier. All the data from the above feeds future plans. The best lifetime customer value for CDPR will be if they continue to scale like this, but also to be a bit more "choosy" with who to work with so brand erosion does crater plans. There is a big gap in the MP segment though, and selling a MP game and keeping that going while also not doing micro-transactions is the next challenge I forsee for cd. thanks for coming to my ted talk.
