Your doorbell cam just joined the surveillance state. Don’t get it yet? They’re building a digital prison around you in real time. But sure. Keep pretending it’s just about “deporting immigrants."

I am very concerned by the government's mass rollout of facial recognition technology. This is a grave threat to privacy, and turns the presumption of innocence on its head. We are hurtling toward a mass surveillance state. It must be opposed!

The UK war on VPNs is an embarassment. For child safety, we should be teaching children about Internet safety - including why you should use a VPN to protect your privacy, block malware, etc. To keep children safe, we are legislating to prevent them being safer online? Mad.

🚨 Oh … the media mostly ignored this. On 21 January 2026, the House of Lords ALSO voted in favour of an amendment that would ban VPNs for under-18s by forcing providers to apply “highly effective age assurance”. There is no way to enforce age assurance on VPNs without identity verification. Once VPNs require ID, anonymous browsing and anonymous access to information are over. State control of political information they don’t want you to see starts here. • expansion of Ofcom’s regulatory reach • platform compliance over user rights • erosion of online anonymity • normalisation of digital ID • private companies acting as state enforcers Once access to information depends on who you are, free speech becomes even more conditional. And conditional rights aren’t rights at all 🚨

What Trump is doing in the US is a preview of what... ...the RN will do in France if elected, ...the AfD will do in Germany if elected, ...Reform will do in the UK if elected. May the collapse of the US serve as a warning for Europe.

It's not even the Tory-lite Party any more, is it? It's just The Tories - with special guest star, Nigel Farage.

The UK Lords just voted to pull VPNs into Britain’s age-check dragnet. Tools meant to protect you from surveillance could now have to surveil you. Every system built to keep you anonymous is being re-engineered for control.

Starmer and Streeting are giving NHS data to Palantir.
And *poof* just like that, you're rights are gone. Now we have confirmation the Palantir database we warned about is real, active, and labeling Americans as “domestic terrorists.” "It couldn't happen here." Yeah? Well, it's here.

How many times do we have to remind you that this isn't to protect kids, but to surveil everything we do online? Child advocacy groups and cybersecurity groups have come out to say this was a horrible idea that would only further hurt kids and cut them off from the world
Mission Creep! As expected. Pushing it through the backdoor. 68,000,000 people will have to verify ID to use social media.

Kemi, please name just one way in which the “social media ban” for children will not require the 68 million internet users in the UK, of all ages, to provide our digital ID or biometric data? Thanks
The House of Lords has backed banning social media for under-16s! Labour voted against the Conservative amendment, but it was backed by everyone else and is a huge win for @LauraTrottMP and Lord Nash. But this is only the first step. Let’s see what happens in the commons. Another U-turn, Keir? The country is demanding action, not more dither and delay. Our approach isn’t about party politics but restoring common sense, helping parents protect their children and fixing the flaws in the Online Safety Act. If you agree, sign our petition👇
