This is a wonderful idea! Anthropic, if you IPO in the EU, I will personally throw in 15 carbon credits and a €250 entrepreneurship grant
TRENDING: Dutch politician Queeny Rajkowski suggests inviting Anthropic to IPO in the Netherlands so they can regulate their AI models and tax them🇳🇱

Entonces ahora Brasil puede invadir USA militarmente para secuestrar a Bolsonaro como hicieron ellos en Venezuela no?

Speaking of Themis. Anybody else think it funny that since blue and SpaceX (and yes I know delta clipper too) laid the foundation of vertical landing, nobody else has made a hopper. Stoke made one but it’s more so because of their novel engine.
everyone in charge of themis needs to be thrown in jail

I wonder what the incest rate is in Spaceflight. We know for the satellite market it’s basically impossible to litigate a non-compete without some mystic illegally obtained knowledge. But for launch? I mean this stuff isn’t exactly industry standard info. Engines are proprietary-

Incest is probably a bad term here. Headhunting is probably more correct but I have to assume any flight software is proprietary and bound by NDA if not national security.

- the structures mass is different. The aerodynamics are different. So all that is to say, if Europe doesn’t need Themis because they can just poach engineers. Why the fuck is it still sitting around?

Something I wish happened was that there was more transparency on launch costs. Like everything is always given as just hand wavy numbers. 100 million this. 200 million that. 80 million here. 3K/kg but absolutely no way to actually combine all that data.

Before rocketlab bought iridium I thought we’d get to learn the hard dollar figures of what it takes to launch but now I don’t think investors will really care as long as it’s profitable. Firefly is gonna be late to the party and don’t have a flagship product so they have my bet

Speaking of firefly. What do you think the odds are they go on an acquiring spree and grab up likr starcloud or something. Also how come apple is so conservative with their R&D budget. Google, Amazon, Microsoft, all constantly scared of their own death. Apple. Nothing

Y’all ain’t gon wanna hear it but LeBron genuinely might have Ball level genetics. Bronny in the NBA. Bryce on path to a round 2 pick up. William 2 time pro-bowler. Zhuri probably gonna be dunking on Caitlyn Clark and Angel Reese. 4/4 is Watt level genetics.

Vulcan can you hurry up and launch? Vulcan:

Europe is truly something else. Have the highest energy costs in the developed world. Tax your people so much that there’s a persistent brain drain. Have an investor class who frankly hates investing. I find it all so strange. Then some politician says some dumb shit like this

Imagine being Spotify or better yet Mistral. You’re seeking a public offering to grow the possibilities of what your company could become and what it could do for the economy and your dumbass politicians are so low time preference they can only think of today’s taxation

How Europeans aren’t deeply nihilistic is frankly amazing

Every time I see a story like this I have to imagine the boys @EutelsatGroup [OneWeb] weep for they aren’t even relevant enough to be the premier second choice
🛰 Great news! Ukraine has launched its first satellite for its own communications network Himera, together with Denmark's GomSpace, has launched the Obria Nano satellite into orbit. With its help, Ukraine will be able to develop its own communications infrastructure, relying less on foreign satellite systems. The first test satellite of Ukraine's future sovereign satellite communications network is already undergoing testing.

The SWE hiring gauntlet makes no sense to me. You are hiring a 20 something year old with probably less than 5-6 years of serious programming experience. And you ask said 20 year old to complete a niche leetcode problem with stupid edge cases to see if they’re good?

Like honestly this whole thing would be better if I just had to write pseudo code. How do you even rate the solutions? Is it on correctness? Is it on the best solution? Is it on time? Who the fuck is coding in a vacuum? Mark Zuckerberg when he was making Facebook-
