The best way to control people is to trigger their fear of death. It triggers the survival instinct and all the base urges that go along with it. In order to be immune to this kind of warfare, you have to overcome your fear of death. This means you have to be able to practice equanimity and find your centre, even when being surrounded by chaos.
The only way to overcome fear of death is to realize you are an eternal soul who cannot die. But 99% of people in this world are identified with their physical bodies and the roles they play.
This is why being immune to psychological and spiritual warfare is a spiritual process. It means you have to withdraw from the state of the ordinary world to realize your spiritual nature within.
