Our new paper on @WaterRes_J talks about phosphate and anode materials interfere with Cu antimicrobial effects towards L. pneumophila (this strain has high copper tolerance as well). @waterARGome @WjRhoads strainhttps://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0043135423006140

Boiler turnover resulted in Legionella being resuspended from the bottom of the boiler and/or (when RAPIDLY flushed) sloughing off biofilm in the pipes. (4/4)

Also, some speculation about future use pipe surface temperature probes as a useful (non-invasive) diagnostic and monitoring approach. Check it out and let us know what you think! (5/5)

sometime the journal default is pdf. but at least they put the data...as someone who is now mining data from old pubs, most of what's out there is unusable for meta analyses without even worse headache than converting pdf to excel...

Looking at your local COVID data? Check out this insanely amazing thread by @zorinaq. Data visualization is awesome, but be very careful where you get supplemental info to help digest and interpret graphs. Simply looking at the charts is really not enough.
COVID deaths & hospitalizations always lag cases. The lag has been demonstrated, is often 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 than a month, and its timing can be predicted accurately (I have done it.) The #casedemic folks are just, well, wrong. A thread explaining the lag with real-world examples. 1/n
