CISA added SiteGuard Server Edition CVE-2026-106931 to KEV on Oct 20. OS command injection in the WAF's statistics feature. A low-priv local user can run commands as root or SYSTEM. Federal due date was Oct 23.
Fixes: Ver8.00 Update5 (non-FreeBSD) or FreeBSD Ver7.00 Update6. Hard to upgrade? Vendor has a file-replace patch, including some EOL builds. Waiting? JPCERT: disable statistics as a stopgap.

CISA added Brotli CVE-2026-111497 to KEV on Oct 27. It's an out-of-bounds write in Google's Brotli decoder. A crafted stream can crash, leak memory, or potentially run code. Federal due date: Nov 10.
Can't patch yet? Block inbound Content-Encoding: br at the proxy. That won't protect apps that fetch Brotli from servers you don't control, so patch those first.

CISA added Linux kernel CVE-2026-46300 "Fragnesia" to KEV on Oct 28. Red Hat rates it Important, not Critical, because exploitation needs local access. Attackers already solved that part.

CISA added Cisco ASA/FTD CVE-2026-76418 to KEV on Oct 29, due Nov 1. Cisco says it was exploited in October. An unauthenticated remote request to the SSL VPN makes the firewall reload.
Fix: run Cisco's Software Checker on your exact release and upgrade to the first fixed build. Watch: unexpected reloads or crash files since October, and bursts of VPN connects right before a reload.
