.@GinaHinojosaTX isn't here for Jake's bullshit.
Hinojosa: I say that the left right paradigm just does not meet the moment of our time. What this is about is about 99.9% of us in the same boat against like 15 billionaire tech guys who are controlling government…

The SFMTA said that about 600,000 trips were taken on Muni yesterday, the day of the Valkyries championship parade. It's the highest ridership recorded in a single day since the pandemic, the transportation agency said.

The media spent October obsessing over Abdul El-Sayed's "problem" with Jewish voters. The Washington Post, the NYT, NPR, and the AP ran constant articles. In the end, El-Sayed got 60% of the Michigan Jewish vote, 1.3% less than Elissa Slotkin did in 2024. Michigan has 8M registered voters, and its population is 1.3% Jewish. So, back-of-the-napkin math means the media tried to center an issue that only mattered to about 1,350 voters in a race decided by over 300,000 votes. The mainstream media is a joke.

Shout out to @ncspeakerhall for this 5-star performance on the eve of leading @NCHouseGOP to its worst electoral wipeout in a generation. Smug, arrogant and corrupt party leaders like this guy are going to have a long, cold spell in the wilderness to think about what they did.

I don’t think we’ve fully touched the grief Minnesota has been carrying.
I was honored to join Melissa and Mark Hortman’s children today to dedicate Highway 610 in their name.

Jamie Davis’ narrow loss to U.S. Rep. Julia Letlow, R-Baton Rouge, has given Louisiana Democrats hope they could unseat a slate of Republican statewide elected officials next year, including Gov. Jeff Landry. #lalege #lagov lailluminator.com/2026/11/05…

Mind you in TX you can’t just select one party at the top and automatically have all their candidates receive your vote. You have to physically press the button by each candidate’s name and hit next, and then do that 108 times. The voters wanted all of them gone.
This is pretty crazy. Democrats won so big in Texas that CNN can’t fit it all on the screen.

Nine years ago, my friend @Sandra4NV survived the mass shooting at the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas. Today, along with gun safety Governor-elect @AaronDFordNV, Sandra won her election to serve Nevadans at the state’s highest level. I couldn’t be more proud of Governor-elect Ford and Lieutenant Governor-elect Jauregui.

A local flip: Democrat Kevin Pflager defeated the Republican mayor of Bellevue, Nebraska's third most populous city. Democrats already flipped Omaha (the largest city) last year, and they also already have the mayorship of Lincoln (the second largest).

“Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR.” So we’re admitting Abbott has been given essentially the power of a dictator the past 11 years?
🚨 I call on Gov. Abbott to IMMEDIATELY convene a special session to REIN IN EXECUTIVE EMERGENCY POWERS… before Gina Hinojosa is sworn in! Republicans lost last night, but Democrats were not sworn in. We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, which would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat. I’ve warned since I was first elected that NO governor, Republican or Democrat, should have unchecked emergency powers! Now that Texas has elected a Democrat Governor, the urgency is undeniable… and inaction is intolerable. Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR. Due to the absurd (and almost certainly unconstitutional) Texas emergency powers laws, Gov. Hinojosa will literally have the power to modify laws, ignore laws, or create and enforce laws – including criminal laws – on a whim! Today is a day for ACTION, and bold leadership. The Texas Legislature must immediately pass, and Governor Abbott must sign, legislation like HB911, which I filed in 2022 and warned at the time, that “Never ending emergency powers are antithetical to representative government and render people powerless. Legislative bodies allowing a single executive branch official to both write and enforce laws is the biggest threat to our constitutional system of divided government and should be opposed irrespective of which political party runs the executive branch.” My legislation would protect liberty from executive fiat by, among other things, taking the following actions: 1. Prohibit the Governor from suspending or modifying statutes 2. Sunset emergency orders in 30 days if the legislature does not ratify the order 3. Prohibit the governor from reissuing emergency orders that expired or the legislature rejected 4. Require emergency orders to be narrowly tailored 5. Subject emergency orders to expedited judicial review We have TEN WEEKS LEFT to protect Texas from near total Democrat rule. I encourage every elected Republican in Texas to join my demand for Gov. Abbott to call a special session. The future of liberty in America is literally on the line in Texas, and Texans deserve leadership that acts accordingly. @GregAbbott_TX
