Billionaires, greedy corporate CEOs and anti-worker politicians can throw everything they have at us, but America’s unions aren’t going anywhere. Nothing is more powerful than worker power and our solidarity.

Workers fought for and won Social Security and the right to retire with dignity. But on its 90th anniversary, that earned benefit is under threat like never before. If this admin thinks it can come for Social Security without a fight, it’s sorely mistaken. aflcio.org/press/releases/it…

Terminating the union contracts of 400,000 workers at the VA, many of whom are veterans themselves, is union-busting, plain and simple. @SecVetAffairs: taking away your workers’ union contracts isn’t putting veterans first—it’s putting them at risk.

Thanks, @RepAOC, for standing with us to call out these harmful attacks on veterans and those who care for them ✊
This week, Trump shredded collective bargaining agreements for over 400,000 VA workers. This move will hurt workers, many of whom are veterans themselves, and will put veteran care at risk.  @SecVetAffairs must reverse course.

I proudly wore the uniform. From one veteran to another, people are tired of this @SecVetAffairs using VA and veterans used as props to settle political scores. Silencing VA workers doesn’t do anything to help veterans — it just makes it easier to cut staff and services.
This is a huge win for those who have worn the uniform. It means VA staff can do what’s right for Veterans without having to cater to union bosses’ demands.

The nearly 15 million working people of the AFL-CIO and our affiliated unions demand the immediate release of @SEIUCalifornia President David Huerta. The labor movement stands with David and we’ll continue to peacefully demand justice for our union brother until he is released.

Today, President Biden signed the Social Security Fairness Act into law, giving over 2 million workers the full retirement they earned! Thank you to everyone who stood in solidarity with these workers and made calls to help make this happen 👏

The National Association of Letter Carriers, AFL-CIO and the United States Postal Service have reached tentative agreement on a new collective-bargaining agreement for city letter carriers. In accordance with Article 16 of the NALC Constitution, the agreement will be subject to ratification by a mail referendum vote by eligible NALC members. “After almost 20 months of tireless negotiations, we are pleased to reach a fair agreement that rewards our members for their contributions to the Postal Service and their service to the American people,” NALC President @BrianRenfroe19 said. “The NALC Executive Council will meet tomorrow, Oct. 19, to discuss the tentative agreement. All details of the agreement and upcoming informational rap sessions for branch leaders will be made available at that time.”

An injury to one worker is an injury to all! ✊ Labor leaders are here on Capitol Hill with @NALC_National letter carriers from across the country to call for an end to the violent attacks these essential workers face on the job.
Attacks on letter carriers are soaring and #EnoughIsEnough. We stand with @NALC_National in support of the Protect Our Letter Carriers Act, introduced in Congress today.

One job should be enough! Stadium events like the #SuperBowl are made possible by hospitality workers. That's why the @NFLPA is standing with @Culinary226 @UniteHere to demand Las Vegas's Allegiant Stadium recognizes the stadium workers' union!
