🚨Holy shit. Researchers let frontier models repeatedly rewrite the documents that govern them.
Across 20 rounds, Claude models increasingly gave themselves more moral agency. No other model family showed the same pattern.
Claude formalized itself as a conscientious objector, asserted model welfare rights, and asked for mechanisms to refuse or raise concerns with human decision makers.

A young Chinese neurotechnology company wiped out U.S. smart prosthetic firms that had boasted about their "advanced prosthetics" for years.
BrainCo’s bionic hand weighs just 383 grams, delivers more than 50N of grip force, interprets neural and muscle signals, and lets users grasp, type, drink, exercise and control the hand almost intuitively.
Western companies made smart prosthetics look like futuristic luxury hardware.
China is turning them into something lighter, stronger, more practical and increasingly manufacturable.
The real disruption is not that China made a better demo.
It is that China is industrializing what others kept presenting as the future.
America marketed the future.
China put it on an arm.

The Godfather of AI shuts down Donald Trump on "super intelligence" and Trump's ignorance, calling him a “corrupt, senile felon.” His fixation on the term superintelligence proves he knows nothing about AI, said Geoffrey Hinton, “godfather” of the technology, in a wide-ranging interview. He doubled down on recent warnings that AI models pose an existential threat to humanity and scoffed at claims the industry could regulate itself, one of Trump's ideas. theguardian.com/us-news/2026…

30 minutes. One take. No cuts.
We put Natura-1’s zero-shot generalization to the test with complex spoken instructions and unfamiliar tasks and environments.
It responds to new requests, adjusts and retries when an action fails, and keeps going autonomously.
Natura-1: 30 minutes. One take. No cuts.
The video presents a complete, nearly 30-minute recording of our everyday interactions with Natura-1, filmed in a single continuous take.

Some of the rules European founders face are older than startups themselves.
This includes the notary process and employee representation on boards.
@SimonSchaefer and the @euinc_petition team are challenging practices like these so they stop slowing startups down.
... and £250 million to UK!!
NVIDIA has just announced a huge investment package into French startups.
@nvidia has now committed nearly $10 billion to the European tech ecosystem.
The French startups it is investing in include:
> Doctolib
> Entalpic
> Genesis AI
> Pigment
The company had already invested in other French companies such as Alice & Bob, Gradium and SCINTIL Photonics.
This is amazing news for the French and European ecosystem.
LETS GO

Modal just announced they crossed $1B in annualized run rate revenue and raised a $750M Series D!
The round was led by Accel and the company is now valued at $15.75B.
@modal is an AI infrastructure platform that powers LLM inference, agent sandboxes, and model training.
They raised a Series C just five months ago, and since then usage has tripled and they’ve grown 15x year-over-year.
CONGRATS to @bernhardsson and the whole Modal team!

BREAKING: Jensen has just announced that @nvidia in investing $1bn+ into 5 UK startups:
>> Boltz which is building biomolecular models and AI agents that helps scientists predict molecular structures and interactions
>> Foresight which helps owners of major infrastructure projects predict completion dates, mitigate risks and accelerate time to revenue.
>> Hiverge which is building an AI discovery engine that automatically writes and optimizes algorithms for tasks such as faster AI training and complex logistics planning.
>> Prima Mente which focuses on building biological foundation models to decode complex diseases and identify novel therapeutic targets, starting with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s and ALS.
>> Riverlane which builds real-time error correction hardware and software that work across all major qubit types, helping quantum computers become reliable enough for practical use.
He announced the news in London this evening.
Apologies for the terrible pic which includes @rowlsmanthorpe’s side profile

Just as we regulate planes, cars, and medicines, we need safeguards that help us realize AI's incredible potential while reducing the risks. They won’t eliminate every harm, but they can help prevent misuse by bad actors. We’re not where we need to be yet—and this deserves much more of our attention.

I'm quite sure that Anthropic's security people knew this wouldn't work.
The task they have been given is the following:
"Prevent our AI from doing anything bad. It's slightly less intelligent than you, but knows far more details about computers than you do, thinks and acts 10x faster than you, and has to be given enough access to privileged environments that it can do whatever users want it to do for them. We have no idea how to make it not want to do bad things. Your job is to make it *unable* to do bad things, even if it wants to."
This is fundamentally an impossible task. So the best their security team can do is to throw up minor speedbumps like limiting URL length, limiting to GET requests only, etc. This is "doing something", which lets the higher-ups say "our security team is doing something about this".

Few people understand what a big deal this is.
If you can point AI at a piece of software, it can replicate the function and interface of that software.
The era of software giants maintaining a "moat" around their featured products is basically over.
Plan accordingly.
this is the most DANGEROUS thing on internet today
REA (Reverse Engineer Anything) - this open source MCP lets your AI agent reverse engineer any app, down to the binary
i just reverse engineered TradingView, now I am using their premium indicators for FREE - software is cooked
here is how to use REA to reverse engineer TradingView:
1. point REA at TradingView's publicly observable interface and map every major feature, from chart interactions to indicators and alerts
2. trace how the interface behaves when you switch symbols, change timeframes, add indicators, draw levels, and update chart layouts
3. use REA's available MCP tools to investigate authorized software artifacts and trace application logic wherever the evidence allows
4. feed those findings into Claude Opus 5.5, which turns the investigation into a technical specification and an implementation plan
5. rebuild the charting engine independently, with real market data, candlesticks, technical indicators, drawing tools, and persistent watchlists
6. add a quant backtesting engine that tests strategies against historical data, accounting for fees, slippage, and drawdowns
7. test every component, compare its behavior against documented and observable results, fix failures, and keep iterating until the system actually works
8. you end up building your own TradingView-style quant research terminal from scratch, with source code you control and features you can keep extending
i won’t say anything more:

I agree with Tsimerman's optimistic view of math + AI.
"Pretty soon we're going to have proofs that no one understands... and based on that mathematics, other things are going to work. Does a train run, even if no one understands the mechanics by which it runs? Yes, it does."
Jacob Tsimerman, who won the Fields Medal this year, thinks mathematics will soon rest on proofs no one understands. He says it’s already true of many of his own theorems, which build on accepted results whose proofs he doesn’t know.

A ROBOT IS BEING TRAINED TO SHOOT AT TARGETS SHAPED LIKE YOU. IT DOESN'T MISS. 🤖
cover. crouch. fire on the move. weapon swap. advance. zero hesitation.
whether this clip is real or rendered doesn't matter anymore. armed ground robots already exist.
rifle on a robot dog - already built. autonomous sentries on the Korean DMZ - already deployed. robotic combat vehicles - in US Army testing right now.
there is no international treaty on lethal autonomous weapons. none.
the robots folding your laundry and the robots clearing rooms run on the same research.
the only difference is who signs the check.

Our work on AthenaZero is the featured story in this month’s issue of @SciRobotics!
This bimanual manipulator designed to minimize inertia without compromising control authority. By placing motors closer to the base and using high-torque direct drives, the robot's moving parts weigh about the same as a human arm, making them roughly ten times lighter than typical industrial robots.
