Source: Runway (official launch thread and App Studio page). Runway says App Studio is included in every paid plan, and building, running and hosting draw on the credits you already have. Apps stay private until you share them, and people using a public link run generations on their own credits.

Runway now lets you build your own creative AI apps just by describing them. App Studio turns a plain-language request into a working tool that makes images, video and audio with Runway's models. Apps can pull from your Brand Kits, so every version stays on brand. Launch examples: recast a video with a new character, turn one product photo into a full campaign, hear your script read aloud. My take: this is the useful side of AI video. Repeatable team workflows, not one-off prompts.

Google DeepMind just unveiled Genie 4, a world model that builds interactive worlds you can steer in real time. Type to change the weather, move the camera or add a person, and the scene adapts. It now generates sound too: ambient noise, music and live dialogue. Scenes hold for up to about two minutes, double Genie 3. Our take: a real step for robot training, game prototyping and film previs. Still a research preview, but the direction is exciting.
