This place next to what they call the 'little stand' will be fine for lunch.

Laytown is really special.
You watch the racing from this grass bank, but try to get down on to the beach itself for a least one race. You'll need a pass-out ticket from the little kiosk you can see in the photo just below the commentary position.
Good luck.
"ho, ho, ho, put your name, address, and bank details in my bucket for the chance to win a fabulous raffle prize, ho, ho, ho!

Has your husband ever told you about the time he told lies under oath in the High Court, and the misery he's brought to so many people with his numerous tipping scams ?
At a drizzly, cold Wexford this afternoon, no big screen, winning line a furlong from the stands, and then somebody put up a kids playground to part block the view. Not a great experience.

Have they still got this little stand ? Good view from the top level if I recall.

Downpatrick is incredible. Very undulating in parts, very narrow in others. Try and walk the course if you can, maybe after racing ? Its good for photos if you're able to.
This is the drop immediately after the runners pass you in the stand.
Enjoy the day.
Kilbeggan always reminds me a bit of a right handed Bangor-on-Dee with a bit of a point-to-point feel.
A lovely summers day @KilbegganRaces , excellent lunch and drink for 18 Euro, and now the racing…..
