HS players should look at the numbers of college players who don’t get out of the portal. What are your real chances of playing D1? Educate yourselves. Don’t be married to the level. An opportunity is an opportunity. Degrees don’t discriminate, use the game to secure your future.

Nick Saban explains one of the biggest threats to continued success. "Success is not continuous. Just because you're having success doesn't mean you're going to continue to have success." Past success guarantees nothing. You have to earn it every day. "When you have complacency and you get satisfied, it creates a blatant disregard for doing the right things." And here's the danger: "You start to resent the very things that got you where you were." You can't resent the process. Success starts with showing up, doing the work, and living the details. "We pride ourselves in hard work. 'I resent that. I resent the hard work that you're making us do. Why are we running sprints?' Well, we always ran them. This is exactly what we did last year on this day. 'Well, I don't think we need to do that anymore.'" Complacency is the enemy of excellence. You combat it with a mindset of growth - never satisfied and always earning. (🎥CarBiz Today )

Parents: Don’t rush the process. Stop stressing over exposure, rankings, comparisons, keeping up. What matters more? Development. Confidence. Letting a love for the game grow naturally. You’ll find out the hard way, not every shiny opportunity is the right one. Trust the journey!

The gap between “talent” and “impact” might be the most misunderstood gap in sports. Every roster has talented players. Impact players are much harder to find.

2027 guard Treddy Faison has transferred to Putnam Science Academy in CT, who just joined the overtime elite prep league. The 5’11 guard plays with City Rocks on the EYBL circuit, where he averages 5 assists a game. Currently holds an offer from Penn State, among others. Definitely an underrated guy that a school like UConn may be keeping an eye on.

I’ve never known of a group of parents that banded together to get a high still coach fired, whose kids went on to have good college careers, or even really play in college for that matter.

One of sports’ most valuable lessons: hard work doesn’t always result in the desired outcome. Even if you put in the time & effort to have earned it, “earned” is more often performance & production driven. Keep working. You not only have to do it, but you also have to do it well!

Leadership doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be real. It’s not about what it looks like. It’s about caring for those you lead, putting your people first, giving credit to others for successes, but standing up in the face of mistakes. Take care of people, not appearances.

Coaches want consistency in their program: in training, practice, games, classrooms. If you put in the work, you’ll be more consistent when it counts. Achieving excellence all the time is impossible. That’s just life, but excellence of effort must be non-negotiable at all times.

College Coaches don’t just go to one circuit. These programs have full staffs and are all the events. Don’t be fooled

🔥 @CapCityAAU NTL defeats Team PA HGAL behind a 17-point performance from #4 Will DiCaprio. Will used his size and ability to score around the rim while also making plays for his team throughout the game.
