I feel like Jared Kushner being at the center of the plot that ultimately led to an American journalist being dismembered via bone saw while he was still alive should be a much bigger deal than our billionaire owned news media is making of it.

I’m a pretty lapse Protestant at this point in my life, but had I seen this woman, I would have immediately assumed she was struggling/in need of community or guidance. Instead of tweeting about her, I wonder if it ever crossed OP’s mind to show grace, compassion, and fellowship.
Woman at church yesterday showed up in a sweatshirt and literal pajama pants. Wore her hood the entire service. I was absolutely appalled. I hate this whole, “came as you are” narrative the Protestant church preaches. Other religions wouldn’t let you in if you dressed so disrespectfully. Why is it only Christian’s that are held to this standard? That we must just accept everything?

My mom was pretty strict about our dress code, whether we were with her or Dad at the Catholic service. But she definitely would have approached this woman the same way I articulated: with kindness, because that’s the whole point of the message, man.

I have a ton of questions for all the humans involved in this: 1. What was the family told about the pug’s condition? 2. Was euthanasia the option because it was what they could afford? 3. Why didn’t they stay with their dog? 4. Did the vet not offer ethical surrender if price…
🚨#BREAKING: A family in Georgia is outraged after they paid to have their 4-year-old pug named Cha Cha euthanized... ...and then MONTHS LATER later saw a photo on Facebook of their dog ALIVE AND WELL with a vet from the animal hospital The story is wild. According to the family, Cha Cha the dog got very sick, the vets told them it was organ failure and diabetic ketoacidosis... so the family decided euthanisia was the best course of action. The family said goodbye in March, paid the bill, and went home grieving. But according to the family, someone at that hospital was very attached to Cha Cha, because a worker took her home instead. Months later, Rebecca (the owner of Cha Cha) was scrolling Facebook and saw a photo. Her words: “I knew scrolling like that’s my dog.” Even more wild...the vet's husband confirmed it, his wife not only had Cha Cha, but he says the pug was in GOOD HEALTH. The dog they were told was dying was actually ALIVE and DOING WELL. But it gets worse. When the family went to the hospital, managers DENIED IT, Rebecca says they got a LAWYER and won’t talk about it. Then, the family believes, the hospital put Cha Cha down to hide what happened. Rebecca’s words: “The fact that they put a healthy dog down. That’s just sick.” And this is NOT the first time. Earlier this year, another family said their cat Annie was supposed to be euthanized at the SAME hospital, and a worker took her home too. The hospital admitted it “fell short” that time. And Annie? She was put down too. So twice now, a dog or cat has been alive and cared for after the family said goodbye. ...this is beyond insane

Was a concern for the family (a lot of vets do offer!) Or community funding? 5. Is the vet a small business or private equity? (This plays a HUGE role in how they treat patients—our vet does a video series on it.) 6. Why put the dog down when the deception was discovered?!

it's funnier people can't understand the cruelty towards women is the issue not that he Đşills them, like terrifier is so fucking misogynistic it almost reads as a feminist deconstruction of slasher films similar to ash from evil dead & Johnny bravo being critiques of womanizers.
“Terrifier is misogynistic” crowd watching the fans unanimously cheer as Sienna is teased as the chapter’s survivor

Okay but as someone who dated and married number 5, sometimes they can be pretty great (aside from the fact his late mom wouldn’t let him touch her washing machine 😂)
my recommendations of men to date as an elder sister - 1. elder brother of a sister (caretaker) 2. younger brother of a sister (potential whore) 3. elder brother of a brother (responsible) 4. single child (litr child) 5. younger brother of a brother (kys this is the worst)

I know I am hormonal and am in no way trying to make this about me, but a childhood friend’s wife passed away, and it just broke me, man. He’s such a good, kind, sweet soul. They have a four year old. This sucks.

No one obviously deserves that kind of loss, but if anyone didn’t, it was him. She seemed like a very cool, wonderful woman from the time I met her, and god knows they loved each other.

The moms versus the single friends birthday discourse shows the fundamental flaw in both sides of the argument: relationships are not meant to be transactional nor are they meant to be dissected on social media with that lens.

The simplest solution to this issue would be the mom texting the friend, saying hey we can’t swing that but I’m sending you a gift card to a local bar or restaurant or event that’s happening on her birthday weekend. Not coming to social media and trying to villainize her friend.
