Why does funding the Grow Zambia Agenda have to rely on PAYE? Government should also explore other revenue sources, grow the economy and reduce wasteful spending. Workers need to feel the benefits of growth in their pockets too.

When I heard that parliament would table a motion for realignment of ministries, I had in mind consolidation, streamlining & reduction to ensure smaller, nimble cabinet & cost control. I was wrong; just like parliament, cabinet too has been expanded without clear justification 😳

20 ministries is all we need in Zambia. Some of the amendments can be grouped as follows:
5+6 = Food
7+8+9 = Trade and Industry
11+12 = Energy
14+15+16+18 = Infrastructure
17+19 = Land and Environment
22+23 =Education and Skills
13 +30 = Tourism, Culture and Arts
The fragmentation is going to exacerbate some of the risks such as a lack of coordination and hand-off.
We need strong government departments run by capable people not more ministries.

W/Province chiefs driving away investors with strict land rules - Chikote
By Diggers Reporter

During his maiden speech in Parliament last Wednesday, Chikote appealed to traditional leaders to be more flexible, saying President Hakainde Hichilema had set an
