I always wanted to make XB a space for all girls, femmes, gays to write about boxing/sports.
If any of y'all ever wanna contribute and become part of the team, reach out 🫶🏾
Now more than ever we need real writing and genuine mediums for sports and literally everything else.

Lizzy & David accomplished something special with The Spit Bucket.
No exaggeration to say The Spit Bucket has been not only my favorite boxing project of late, but no other creative project has encouraged me to push my process and my work as productively.

👀 New book on UK #boxing history. Written by Stephen Barr, grandson of Dick Burke. Barr knows his boxing history - should be a good one

A few nights away for work so needed some decent reading. Thought I’d dig this out of the cupboard again. It’s a brilliant read by the much missed Melanie Lloyd. Mel was a fantastic writer, I strongly recommend it.

My novel The 9 Lives of Ray the Cat Jones is based on the real life story of a class conscious criminal & is way more believable than most true crime books. It would be a steal at twice the price! You can order it here (& on many other platforms): alibris.co.uk/booksearch?mty…

Lotta good discourse on Sonny Liston recently, so I’ll add my brief look at his legacy as an example of Mark Fisher’s “absent presence,” kindly published by @WritersOnBoxing
