The .@WuliraApp is a valid cost-effective alternative to pure tone audiometry in screening for hearing loss. In this study, we determined the prevalence of occupational hearing loss among workers in a metal industry company in Kampala district.

With funding from @RIFMakerere @Makerere, we conducted a study among industrial workers to determine the prevalence of occupational hearing loss.
Screening was done using
the Wulira App and we found that one in every ten workers had occupational hearing loss. This calls for periodic screening to identify those affected.
