☀️ The sun rises on Subtropical Storm Josephine this morning! 🌬️ Josephine will accelerate northeast today, finally allowing winds to ease across southern New England after several breezy days.

This is one of the most well-defined pinhole eyes I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure how much more textbook it could get than this, but #Champi is a generational typhoon in terms of the invaluable data it has provided so far.

Parts of the Northeast are under both a Severe Thunderstorm Watch AND a Freeze Watch. Talk about back to back weather! ⛈️🌪️❄️ #weather #weatherfront #tornado #snow #meteorology

Take a look at just how massive this cold front is and how sharp its gradient is! Dew points are dropping by ~20°F with its passage, and the METAR plots do an incredible job of illustrating this in real time!

This is so cool to watch! Cold front pushing through #Oklahoma is enhancing rainfall rates through convection as it moves southeastward! #okwx

The dangerous eyewall of Hurricane #Isaias is now in view. Wind gusts over 100 mph are possible in it as it crosses the coast this evening. #flwx #alwx

Best environment is still a ways off shore, but this outer band will likely be the initial focus for tornado activity as it comes ashore this afternoon and evening across the Florida Panhandle.

Nice convective outflow banding showing up on satellite on Eastern quadrant. It’s not quite there to clear the CDO but intense thunderstorms ongoing in inner core as #Isaias continues to grow for next 24hrs before strong wind shear. Could we see an eye pop out? Possible.

Rain totals and wind gusts are possible this weekend. Overall, the threat of widespread flooding is low, and winds will remain breezy to windy but not extreme. Due to dry conditions ahead of time and the drought, impact from heavy rian will be reduced. Worst weather will be late Saturday into Sunday morning. #cltwx #ncwx #scwx #wncwx #wxbrad #Isaias

🚨MODELS COMING INTO AGREEMENT Overnight, our Weather Models converged on where they believe Hurricane Isaias will make landfall. And right now, that location is between Pensacola, Florida and Mobile, Alabama. When you see tight clustering like this, the Weather Models are trying to tell us something. They are all ingesting the same data and are all starting arrive at the same conclusion. If I had to make the call now, I'd say this thing makes landfall near or just west of Pensacola, Florida.
