According to @tfl, the Silvertown Tunnel will increase traffic on the already congested and polluted A102 in Greenwich by up to 30%. This is a significant threat to the health and welfare of the borough's residents.

This is what @tfl and @MayorofLondon are determined to impose on Greenwich and Newham, despite the opposition of residents and councillors on both sides of the river. It's as though all the knowledge we've gained about how destructive big roads are in cities has been forgotten.
The new big problem for residents on both sides of the river in Greenwich and Newham will be crossing the motorways if #SilvertownTunnel is built. Thousands of new homes by these monster junctions. Schools on each side. Bus stops a nightmare to get to. Cycling impossible.
