Junior Maddon Brittingham (6’2, 195) had a breakout performance in Lawrence Free State’s(6A, 2-1) 49-27 win over Shawnee Mission East on Friday night. A versatile playmaker at wide receiver/running back, Brittingham accounted for five total touchdowns in the victory. He was explosive on the ground, rushing for 162 yards on just 11 carries with four rushing touchdowns, while also adding a receiving score. On the defensive side, Brittingham contributed with 9 tackles and a pass breakup, showing his all-around impact. The Firebirds leaned on Brittingham’s two-way dominance to move to 2-1 on the season, continuing to establish him as one of the top juniors to watch in 6A. #sportsinkansas
