Watching @Erling and @OfficialAitch play COD makes me realize something. I'm 53, and while Haaland may put belt-to-ass on the pitch, I would wipe the floor with these guys on COD. 🤣
Great vid.

Final thoughts on the DMZ PvE discourse and then Im done yappin.
I am not against PvE players. I genuinely love the PvE in DMZ. I quest, I clear POIs, I fight the bosses, I run dynamic ops. What Im against is splitting the mode.
1. Every extraction game that has caved and added a PvE mode has lost a significant amount of players from the main mode, and queue times went up as a result. Total players might go up, sure, but the people actually playing the mode the game was built around get longer queues and emptier raids.
2. DMZ does not have the content to support a pure PvE mode. It launched with 6 (SIX) story quests. Take away the threat of other squads and you clear everything, find every secret and be bored of the mode in a couple weeks. We already saw this with Endgame on BO7. It was fun and chill for a 3rd mode, and its dead now because with no stakes, there isnt much replayability value.
3. Tarkov PvE works because Tarkov has 10+ years of quests, lore and systems that are brutal to finish when you can die in bullet from any entity. DMZ is not Tarkov. A PvE DMZ would just speedrun its own content like CoD Zombies.
4. Things take time and money to develop. Id rather that time go into the mode they spent years building around one PvPvE economy than into a separate version of it.
5. The complaints, I get, but they can be fixed inside the mode:
• More exfils, including squad-only exfils that are harder to take but safer from rats
• Fix the rat spots and give story missions more than one clearly viable way in
• Less squads per raid
• Some form of matchmaking
• No friendly fire between truced squads so teaming up is actually worth it
Any one of those helps with getting farmed while you quest, without killing what makes extracting with rare loot actually feel good.
Additionally, hunting players in an extraction mode does not make you a bad person, grow up 💀. Camping a story elevator with one way in is lame, but thats a map design problem, not a player problem. Fix the map.
DMZ is already the most casual extraction on the market. It doesn't need an even more casual copy of itself, it needs polish. Ask for fixes not PvE.
The "Call of Duty" movie based on "Modern Warfare" will not feel like a superhero film because the story is about "the cost of war and having to be a warrior."
“If you really look at the missions and the storylines and the characters like Captain Price, Soap, Ghost and Alex, these are complicated humans. These are not, and no disrespect, cartoon characters or comic books," says director Peter Berg. "These are very nuanced storylines; there’s a real soul to the ‘Modern Warfare’ universe. Yes, there’s violence and hardware and equipment and killing. But underneath it, I think the game, and the creators of the game, are really looking at the cost of war, the cost of having to be a warrior who’s, for whatever reason, chosen to put himself between real danger and the rest of us, and the burden that these guys carry.”
