Xavier Edmonds made the leap from Salt Lake CC to the Big 12 last season without missing a beat. Edmonds blends an old-school power bag with new-school versatility. He converted 43.6% of his threes, has some nasty passing flashes, a smooth midrange fader, and the lateral quickness to switch onto multiple positions defensively. He lacks vertical pop to play full time five and turns it over too much, but he belongs on the 2027 NBA Draft radar.

Disagree. Xavier Edmonds = NBA
Got to @TCUBasketball this afternoon. Frogs lost David Punch but have spent their money very wisely. Deepest team since 2023. No NBA players but two deep at every position. @XavierEdmonds14 should be in all conference player. Have been a DJ Thomas fan since high school. And for future, 6-6 Latvian guard Richard Aizpurs, who just turned 18 and missed the summer, has huge upside.

Bracketball 2026-27 Top 100 CBB Players #68: Xavier Edmonds (TCU, F | Sr.) A criminally underrated player that has a very polished game and an intriguing skill set; I’m not sure why there’s such a lack around Edmonds. It could be due to the fact that he plays for TCU, who has not really produced much NBA talent — though David Punch certainly seemed to get his fair share of noise — or maybe just because this was his first year on the D1 scene as a JUCO product. Either way, it’s going to be hard to ignore Edmonds with the year we’re projecting he has. Edmonds averaged 12.7/6.5/1.2 last year on 57/44/64 shooting splits. Very, very solid for a big man (although he could definitely improve his efficiency from the charity stripe — and we think he will). Metrically, there’s green EVERYWHERE. He was in the 95th %ile and up in the following metrics: ORB%, 3P%, WS/40, PER, WARP, Points/40, FTAs/40, PF Drawn/40 Fast Break Pts/40 and 2nd Pts/40. Absolutely insane — and I could go on with metrics 90 %ile or higher but I don’t want to turn this into a novel. Hopefully you get the point: when it boiled down to impact on his team’s success, Edmonds was one of the best players in the country. There were three players in the country that met the following conditions: ORB% of at least 10% 3P% of at least 40% on a minimum of 50 attempts DeSean Goode (Miami Transfer and HUGE breakout candidate for us) Allen Graves (19th pick in NBA Draft & Summer League star) Xavier Edmonds Edmonds just scratched the surface of what he is capable of and with Jamie Dixon at the helm, the Horned Frogs may very well continue to be an underrated squad that surprises fans come March. We expect a MONSTER year from Xavier Edmonds. Edmonds’ projected line for 2026-27: 17.1 PPG 9.2 RPG 1.9 APG Projections powered by @CBBAnalytics 68 days until College Basketball. TCU has one of the most underrated rosters in the country heading into 2026-27. The Horned Frogs added a sneaky powerful transfer class in Gavin Sykes, Trent Lincoln, Luke Bamgboye and DJ Thomas, while also bringing in freshmen Milos Sojic, Richards Aizpurs and Sam Fleming. They’re bringing back a core with plenty of firepower, too. Brock Harding returns as the maestro of the offense, Xavier Edmonds is one of the most dominant bigs in college hoops and an easy Big 12 First Team candidate, while Micah Robinson provides a flashy scoring punch and Tanner Toolson is a proven shooter who just needs to settle back into the confidence he had at Utah Valley. A lot to like with this TCU group who could really make a top 5 finish in the Big 12. @air_gavin1 @Trxent @DeandreThom15 @LukeBamgboye

I’m beyond excited to see Xavier Edmonds play his natural position at the four. At 6’8, he shot 43% from three, 71% at the rim, and posted a 78th percentile stock rate. I think he’ll get at least a cup of coffee in the NBA. Huge year ahead at TCU.

Xavier Edmonds feels very underrated at No. 43. @XavierEdmonds14 One of just a few Power 5 Conference players last season to record: • 23%+ USG% • 62%+ TS% • 10%+ ORB% Elite company and a rare blend of offensive volume, efficiency, and second-chance offense.
