THE OFFICE OF THE APC NATIONAL YOUTH LEADER IS NOT A PLAYGROUND FOR POLITICAL INTERESTS! By Hon. Tukur Ibrahim The All Progressives Congress (APC) is bigger than any individual, political connection, or personal ambition. No matter how influential anyone may be, the structures and institutions of our great party must be respected. The Office of the APC National Youth Leader is not merely ceremonial. It is a strategic institution responsible for youth mobilization, political engagement, and the representation of young party members across the country. This raises a fundamental question: What exactly is happening behind the scenes? Are the reported developments driven by genuine concerns about party administration, or are there personal and political interests seeking to weaken the current National Youth Leader? Is anyone attempting to influence the office through political connections, or are there ambitions to take over the position? These are questions that deserve clarity and constructive engagement. Any individual, regardless of status or political influence, who has concerns about the office should pursue them through dialogue and the party’s recognized internal processes. No stakeholder should attempt to weaken established party structures through undue interference. The APC cannot preach youth empowerment while allowing its youth leadership to be undermined by unnecessary political battles. Who benefits when the National Youth Leader’s authority is challenged? Who benefits when state youth leaders are drawn into internal conflicts? And who benefits when those responsible for mobilizing Nigerian youths are distracted from the critical task of preparing for the 2027 general elections? These questions deserve serious attention. Our party needs unity, not division; mobilization, not intimidation; and constructive engagement, not political supremacy contests. Dr. Dayo Israel, as the current APC National Youth Leader, deserves the opportunity to discharge the responsibilities entrusted to his office in accordance with the party’s constitution and established rules. Supporting institutional independence does not mean placing any individual above the party. It means ensuring that every office is respected and that disagreements are addressed through legitimate channels. Let it be clear: Nobody is bigger than the APC, and nobody should be allowed to turn the party’s institutions into instruments of personal ambition. If anyone believes they can lead the APC National Youth Wing more effectively, the appropriate path is to respect the party’s rules and established processes. Political influence should never become a substitute for due process. Our collective responsibility is to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, strengthen party unity, and mobilize Nigerian youths for victory in 2027. We must not allow personal disagreements to destroy years of political investment, grassroots organization, and youth engagement. The APC is a political party, not the private property of any individual or interest group. Its institutions must remain stronger than personal ambitions. Let those with genuine concerns come forward through the appropriate channels. Let the party leadership address disagreements fairly. Above all, let every stakeholder remember that our real responsibility is to mobilize, galvanize, and unite young Nigerians for the task ahead. The National Youth Wing must not become a battlefield for competing political interests. It must remain a platform for service, opportunity, participation, and electoral mobilization. ONE PARTY. ONE PURPOSE. ONE PRESIDENT. ONE RENEWED HOPE AGENDA. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria! Long live Nigerian youths! Long live the All Progressives Congress! THE APC IS SUPREME. NO INDIVIDUAL IS ABOVE THE PARTY!

Those who petitioned @dayoisrael are either ignorant of what they don’t know and they failed to ask questions about his antecedents. I’ve been following the young man for the past few years and I am familiar with the kind of the foundation he has laid for the youth constituency in Nigeria especially by working closely with other youth leaders and all APC young stakeholders across the zones. In fact, I can pinpointed about significant some of his youth initiatives which are far from what we used to have in the past. Yes. Dayo is okay to continue his good work for the youths!

We’ve raised our grievances over his actions. Now, it’s time to rally support for @dayoisrael. Enough is enough, Let all APC stakeholders come to the round table, engage in constructive dialogue, and bring forward different ideas. Money isn’t everything, and no one should be bullied or sidelined. Let’s give dialogue, mutual respect, and fairness a chance. He’s our man, and it’s time to stand together. If you have been paid 30M each to past vote of no confidence against him — Sara-niii. May APC succeed…🫡✨ #BallonDor26 #APCYouthWing @ballondor

THE BATTLE FOR APC’S YOUTH WING: IS DAYO ISRAEL BEING UNDERMINED BY POWERFUL INTERESTS? As APC Youth Leaders Pass a Vote of Confidence, Questions Emerge Over Alleged Financial Inducement, Internal Sabotage and the Future of Tinubu’s 2027 Youth Mobilisation Strategy October 27, 2026 The unfolding controversy surrounding Hon. Dayo Israel, the National Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has evolved beyond the public debate over the distribution of Toyota Prado SUVs. It has exposed a deeper question about the management of political influence within the ruling party: is the APC strengthening its youth leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections, or are competing interests within its power structure undermining the very machinery the party needs to mobilise young Nigerians? On Tuesday, October 27, a group of APC youth leaders, including the Deputy National Youth Leader, zonal youth leaders and other representatives, issued a declaration of confidence in Israel's leadership. They defended initiatives attributed to his tenure, including the provision of mobilisation vehicles, international capacity-building opportunities for young Nigerians and the establishment of a youth resource centre. Their intervention came amid reports that a separate group of state youth leaders had passed a vote of no confidence in the National Youth Leader. The emergence of these competing positions has intensified an already sensitive internal disagreement. More troubling, however, are allegations that financial inducements may have been offered to some youth leaders amid the dispute. According to allegations circulating within the political conversation, a meeting involving a senior minister of the Federal Republic and a youth figure described as close to the corridors of power allegedly involved arrangements for payments of ₦30 million to state youth leaders and ₦5 million to senatorial youth leaders. These figures and the circumstances surrounding the alleged meeting have not been independently verified. It has also not been established whether the alleged sums were offered, promised or actually paid. Those implicated should have an opportunity to respond, and any available evidence should be examined impartially. Nevertheless, the allegations raise questions that the APC cannot afford to dismiss without scrutiny. If substantiated, financial inducements intended to influence internal party positions would raise serious concerns about political accountability, internal democracy and the independence of the party's youth structures. The central issue is no longer simply whether Dayo Israel enjoys the confidence of every youth leader. It is whether every position taken in this dispute reflects genuine conviction, legitimate grievances and independent judgment. THE POLITICS OF POWER: WHO BENEFITS FROM A DIVIDED APC YOUTH WING? In Nigerian politics, proximity to power can be an important source of influence. Access to senior officeholders, political networks and decision-making circles can shape relationships within a party. Such access is not inherently improper, but it becomes a concern when institutional structures appear vulnerable to competing personal interests. The dispute surrounding Dayo Israel has prompted questions about whether influential individuals within the party are seeking to weaken his authority or reduce his influence over the youth mobilisation machinery. Some of his supporters suspect that the opposition to his leadership may extend beyond the publicly stated grievances. The allegations of financial inducement have added another dimension to those suspicions. However, allegations of deliberate sabotage must be established through evidence rather than assumption. The identity and intentions of any individuals allegedly involved in financial inducement should be independently established before conclusions are drawn. The party should ask straightforward questions. What grievances led to the

After a lengthy phone conversation with Dayo Israel, APC Youth Leader, we discussed the vehicle-gifting controversy and the public anger it generated. He explained that the vehicles were donated by private organizations in support of the re-election campaign, not purchased with taxpayers’ money. He apologized and acknowledged that the approach could have been better. I urged him to learn from this experience and ensure it doesn’t happen again. In politics, public perception matters, and leadership requires accountability, transparency, and sensitivity to the people. @dayoisrael
