Grateful for the opportunity to present to fellow principals on an initiative that had a tremendous impact on our school community: Hispanic Family Nights.
Family engagement isn’t just an initiative-it’s our responsibility.

The @Yates_Mill PARENTS came out BIG TIME and protected their trophy for another year! But… our alumni are already plotting revenge for next year!!⚽️❤️
Such fun watching our YMES family rocking that soccer field with all the passion and competitive spirit they can muster!
We’re giving Dr. Alford her flowers in honor of National Assistant Principal Week! To have a strong, caring instructional leader is a blessing. Please join in and help celebrate the impact she’s made wherever she’s served! 🌸🌺🌹🌻

Thanks for the opportunity to share Yates Mill’s work around family and community engagement at today’s Summit, @WCPSS! We left energized, with new thought partners and incredibly inspired by @TommieMabry.
Digging deep into our 3rd grade mClass data to better understand student needs and where to go next! Setting new goals and strategically planning….Let’s go! #CommitToTheClimb ⛰️
Just like old times! 🤣 The pandemic absolutely taught us how to pivot. The work continues at Yates Mill. We’re committed to the climb! ⛰️⛰️⛰️
Our school counselors are difference-makers every single day. ♥️ Thank you, Mrs. Morgan and Ms. Haag, for supporting our Yates Mill students and staff by helping us climb to reach our goals with such care, wisdom and dedication! @WCPSS

Carpool Casanova 🎤 was such a fun way to start the morning! Even though we had to move things inside because of the cold 🥶, everyone had a blast! Thank you Ms. Landeros, the Specialist Team, & @YMESPTA for helping organize a fun morning arrival! @MIX1015WRALFM
Way to Climb, 3rd grade! Every class reached their individual math assessment goals so we carved out some time to collectively MOVE THOSE FLAGS! 🎊

Congrats to this second grade team! 95% of their students demonstrated proficiency on their most recent assessment on NBT7! Even more impressive, ALL student groups demonstrated greater than 80% proficiency. 🥳 Well done!
It’s never too early to stress the importance of community service! Our school’s Food Drive runs through Friday, 11/21/25. There’s still time to donate! @WCPSS
This is what happens when you invite your staff to your wedding….. I had no clue they’d really want to come. 💕This memory will never get old! 11.11.16 @WalnutCreekES @WCPSS
Hosted our 2nd Hispanic Family Night tonight and I think this might just become a monthly gathering! ❤️Parents chose a Friday night session in November about math strategies so we better start planning! We appreciate our parents being “Committed to the Climb!”
Our amazing @YMESPTA has done it again! 🎉 Job well done organizing our 21st Annual Fun Run. Although a heavy lift, 100% of all proceeds go straight towards supporting Yates Mill. Thank you staff, students and parents!
