This was my only viral tweet as best I remember. Since it appears to be last call for this site, I figured I'd dust it off.👇
No a classic mistake is putting baking soda instead of baking powder in the cookies. You are thinking of perjury. nitter.gq/AriFleischer/status/83…

I think I'm clearly headed towards leaving Twitter, just not sure when. I'm kind of expecting something big that sparks a mass exodus. If so, I'll probably take that as my cue. I've been cursed all my life to keep hoping even when it's obviously absurd to hope. But I'm not sure
The circular firing squad is bringing me down today. Be kind to each other. In the words of W.B. Yeats: Turning and turning in the widening gyre    The falcon cannot hear the falconer; Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;

Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world, The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere    The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst    Are full of passionate intensity.

Stay together. There is strength in numbers. Force the other side to spend effort trying to divide and conquer instead of us doing it for them. We can sort out the details later.

I say this with love but I really wanted @sarahkendzior to be wrong on at least some things.

Um, for the You're Being Extreme folks, a widely respected scholar on presidential history is warning us of "the magnitude of the abrupt national cataclysm that will now be unleashed" sooooo
Do you believe that the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe shows respect for the strong majority of Americans who support Roe — or for the magnitude of the abrupt national cataclysm that will now be unleashed?

Cops are not sending us their best.
A Rhode Island police officer, Jeann Lugo (shown below), has been placed on paid administrative leave after punching a Black woman — his Democratic rival for state senate — at a Roe v. Wade rally.

It's funny how they never correct their "misspeaks" in real time. Also funny that they never "misspeak" and say anything supportive of marginalized or vulnerable people.
Miller: President Trump… I want to thank you for the historic victory for white life in the Supreme Court yesterday

There's more of us than there are of them. In situations where police instigate violence against isolated individuals, swarm the fuckers.
Some more footage from the Greenville Sc protests with police violently arresting and dragging protestors.

They were/are willing to sacrifice a million+ COVID patients. They were/are willing to sacrifice countless school kids, teachers, shoppers, theater goers, etc. They will care absolutely nothing about stories of women suffering. Some in fact, will delight in seeing the pain.
Overturning Roe is already unpopular. What happens when local news stories emerge from around the country of the resulting hardship and tragedy? There will be faces and names that personalize our new world. And it will be heartbreaking.

I remember a post on DKos in 2007 about Palin whipping up the crowd to a frenzy at a campaign stop. A guy in the audience had a noose around a stuffed monkey's neck and was waving it on the end of a stick. When he realized he was being scrutinized, he put it down. Look at us now.
