The 2SS is not meant to be a “solution”. It is meant to be an exhaust vent for people who are either morally indifferent or committed to the ethnic cleansing and genocide of Palestinians and need to buy Israel some more time to carry it out.

Israeli society, like every other settler colonial society in the world, is built on layers upon layers of racism.
The elections continue to reveal the racism in Israel towards Mizrahi Jews. When asked if he will vote for Eizenkot, this market vendor says they will "never vote for a Moroccan" in this market, which is ironically a bastion of Mizrahi Jews. This comes days after an Israeli journalist called Eizenkot a monkey. The deep racism and self-hatred are likely keeping Eizenkot from cleanly defeating Netanyahu. There is a reason Israel has never had a Mizrahi prime minister.

More than 2,200 Palestinians have been forcibly displaced from their homes in Hebron by the Israeli army, which continues its military attack in the city, demolishing houses, arresting hundreds of people, and threatening to forcibly displace another 5,000 Palestinians from their homes.

This is Apartheid.
It's morally disgusting - and comes at the same time as Israel is committing an ongoing genocide.
To see the Labour Government defend Israel repeatedly will horrify the British public - it cannot go on like this.

I guess it wasnt about Hamas or the hostages after all, but always about ethnic cleansing. Who’d have known!!

I’d say his greatest political trick was destroying most of the Gaza Strip while the world’s most stridently malicious liberals relentlessly screamed abuse at anyone who objected to it

My great grandfather is 87 and the only living survivor of the Nakba in our family.
I grew up with his stories.
About his village, the lemon orchard, the sea, the Shia shrine and how one day the Israeli army came and told them to leave.
Last night the Israeli army came again, and once again told Palestinians to leave.
I saw women and children, leaving their houses with whatever they can carry.
And I thought about my great grandfather and how he probably felt 78 years ago.
😔😔😔

It’s worth clarifying something as folks are sharing news of the West Bank being “shut down”. Importantly, it is not the entire West Bank which is shut down—it is Palestinian cities, towns, and villages. Settlers are free to travel through open roads and checkpoints, as always.

In retaliation for the attack in Hebron, the IDF done the following:
1) Ethnically cleansed the neighborhoods of al-Jalda and Ein Dir Baha in western Hebron. Well over 20,000 people in total were told to leave their homes with no date of return. Demolitions in the area have already begun. They have nowehere to go and will have nowehere to return to.
2) They cordoned off Hebron, a city of more than 200,000. He also announced a siege on Hebron and Halhul. It is worth noting that the Hebron governorate was already in dire economic straits, with five of seven entrances closed to a region where over 1 million Palestinians live.
3) Launched a military operation which will last a few days. Netanyahu has warned that a military operation, "the largest in teh West Bank since teh Six Day War" is being consdiered as well.
This is, of course, collective punishment which is a war crime. They are attacking the entire clan from which the attackers came from. All this without trial and without right of appeal. Once settlers moved into Hebron in the 1980s it was always going to end like this. The complete ethnic cleansing of this historic city is just a matter of time.

So it begins. This is a far cry from an announcement of full siege, these are orders to empty Hebron of its inhabitants. It is 2 a.m. People are being ordered to evacuate.
To where?
Orders for full displacement for 21,000 people
