We will never tire of calling for 24-hour clinics for our people, because no one deserves to die or give birth outside simply because a clinic closed at 16h00. #VoteEFF2026 #VictoryOrDeath

As we head towards #InternationalInternetDay, imagine an internet where you can express yourself freely, connect without fear and exist online without violence.
What would an internet free from violence look like to you?

So, in one sentence: government operatives within the intelligence services withdrew R12 million to infiltrate @EFFSouthAfrica through key individuals in its @ParliamentofRSA caucus in order to collapse the party, and the project was named Project Mayibuye. Hhmmm!!

You’re allergic to intellectual honesty. At this rate you’re in anaphylaxis. I’m not your peer.

Also some of the social failures have had negative effects for children: violence and high alertness about safety has resulted in children not playing as much or exploring the outside as much. Losing the learning from peers: language acquisition, socialisation, exposure etc.

My mother was a nurse at Baragwanath in the 80s. She lamented the number of teenagers (Black) who came to deliver babies. Fast forward, she became a nurse at Sandton clinic in the 90s. It was a HUGE revelation to her to see so many White families casually accompanying their teen daughters to have an abortion.
And then there was school - I have both the township experience and a suburban multiracial one. In the former, we just never spoke about contraceptives with our parents. SEX topics were out of the question at school and at home.
Whilst our white counterparts were open about being on "the pill." Some had had abortions prior to getting on contraceptives. They were open about it. We (Black girls( were often stunned that their boyfriends sometimes slept over at their houses. In high school! We were envious. 😃
This is not research..it is just my experience, where I was at that time. There must be lessons to learn so we can protect ALL children and equip them, without judgement, with knowledge and tools. I prefer the open conversation about sex, safety and power relations. The person who started this conversation is a fool who is using identity politics to draw the wrong, RACIST conclusions.
The DA wants to do exactly that in Johannesburg. They’ve already started with debilitating the infrastructure.

Ohhh spare us the performance you FRAUD!
You promised thousands of CCTV cameras, including in townships, hostels and informal settlements, plus an integrated command centre watching them in real time. Were any of those cameras covering Rhodesfield and the R21 corridor where these women’s bodies were found????
You claimed to have launched AmaPanyaza crime wardens, e-panic buttons, helicopters and drones and said women should no longer fear going out in public. Why is SAPS now telling women in Kempton Park not to run or walk alone????
You said if you failed to fight crime you would resign.
Why the hell is your ass still working?

at the very core of journalism ethics is the responsibility to minimise harm. I genuinely cannot understand how this was considered an appropriate headline in a story of this nature. a missing woman is not a plot twist, and her family’s anguish is not a headline hook.
