One of my customers asked if I would make a #SycamoreGap Tree print. This is the beginning. I’ve based it on a photo taken while I was there a few months before the tree was tragically felled. See the finished #linocut print @YorkPrintmakers Print Fair.

Playing with shades of purple. A blend of Hawthorn’s transparent stay-open inks. I’m using their transparent ink to make the colours lighter.

Who’s off to the Coast for the Bank holiday weekend? I’d love a paddle in the sea. Have a lovely, sun-filled weekend.

Has anyone seen any #Puffins this year? Friends visited the island of Staffa, near Mull & Ioana in Scotland, and said it was amazing. One for the holiday wish list! This #linocut print was inspired by a trip to the #FarneIslands in #Northumberland.

At this month's @YorkPrintmakers meeting the super talented Jen Dring demonstrated how to make Tetra Pak prints. It involves scratching lines into the inside of old cartons, inkling it up & printing using damp paper & a roller press. Have you ever tried it?
