Tbh. I love the classic Justice League.
But it becomes disturbing just how white they all were sometimes. Like, yeah, Dwayne Mcduffie was right. Sometimes you do just have to intentionally put a person of color in here to get some semblance of balance.

Lucas knew selling the company meant giving up formal control of Star Wars, but he was under the impression he would still have some involvement, and that his creative input would be valued. Instead, he was *immediately* sidelined at the story stage, when the treatments he sold to Disney were drastically altered without even consulting him.
According to Bob Iger, Lucas felt ambushed and betrayed when he found out. Just because Disney legally didn't *have* to use Lucas's stories doesn't mean it wasn't a professional insult when they didn't. Lucas was under the impression that there existed a certain understanding between him and Iger based on professional respect, but he was wrong.
Again, he understood he was selling Star Wars and that that meant he couldn't call all the shots on his own anymore. I think what really galled him is that they immediately threw out his *story* for the very first sequel. He didn't think the relationship was going to be like that. That's when he completely separated himself from Star Wars.
George Lucas says he retired from filmmaking with 3 more Star Wars films on his plate.
“I’m 82, so there is a limit. When I did [the museum], I decided to retire from making movies, which was a big deal because I had 3 more Star Wars to make”

Because it's performative elitism. If Lanterns was a comic run first and THEN adapted to the screen page for page, these people would be eating it up because they don't actually enjoy reading comics. They enjoy the perceived status that reading them brings. Their self worth revolves around being into a niche medium they don't understand so they can use it to flex on normies.
