Neal Brown tells the @MGSNetwork the fake on the punt return that resulted in a touchdown for Dalton Carnes was called “Oscar.” So now you’ve got Peter Pan and Oscar in Mean Green special teams lore.

And again, amazingly, the first time this has happened to Navy since October 14th, 2000 against a ranked Notre Dame squad

And, amazingly, the first time North Texas has had an offensive, defensive, and special teams touchdown in the same game since Arkansas in 2018

Amazingly, that’s the first punt return touchdown for North Texas since the famous Peter Pan play by Keegan Brewer at Arkansas in 2018.

As it relates to a new day - for any KNTU alumni who are interested in even just having an ear to talk to about the future and direction of this great and historic station, feel free to get ahold of me or the new GM, Todd Pitts. We’re here for you and the students!

A very full circle moment - super excited to say that I’ve been hired as the Operations Manager of my alma mater’s radio station, KNTU! Pumped to be back at the same station I cut my teeth at in college to help the next generation of UNT students learn the ropes of the broadcasting world. #GMG

"About a half-yard to go, here come the Packers up again. Mercein sets his feet. Bart Starr's all set...16 seconds left... Starr's in, touchdown! And the crowd has gone wild and ran onto the field with 16, 13 seconds left, the Packers are ahead.” - Bill Mercer, New Year’s Eve, 1967

Very rudimentary research here, but I believe 2025-2026 marks the first time UNT has received any amount of votes in any poll in back-to-back seasons ever.

Despite being on a bye, North Texas picked up a singular 25th place vote in the Coaches Poll this week.
