Idiots. They've made an entire week of content out of this and continue to be so wrong. Michael Jordan is my favorite athlete. Ever. But if/when the Bears win a Super Bowl, it will be so much more meaningful to the city. @CALEBcsw and whoever told him that, were spot on.
“The city of Chicago, … was a damn morgue.” @stephenasmith responds to @RealSkipBayless' take on the ’85 Bears being bigger than Michael Jordan’s Bulls 🔥

STATEMENT FROM JACK CAMPBELL My family and I want to sincerely thank everyone for the overwhelming amount of love, prayers, and support we’ve received over the past few days. It means more to us than words can express. I’m incredibly encouraged by the progress I’ve made in such a short period of time. I have full movement in my lower body, and I’m continuing to make progress with movement in my upper body. I know there’s still work ahead, but I remain very optimistic. I’m taking things one day at a time, staying positive, and focusing on getting better. My faith in God has never been stronger. I know He has a plan for me, and I trust in that plan. I know there may be challenges ahead, but with my faith, my family, and so many people in my corner, I know we’ll get through this. I especially want to thank the athletic trainers and medical personnel who responded and cared for me on the field. I know those were difficult moments, and I’m incredibly grateful for the professionalism, compassion, and care you showed me. The way you handled everything and looked after me when I needed it most is something I’ll never forget. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. I also can’t say enough about the incredible care I’ve received from the medical team at Henry Ford Hospital and the Detroit Lions medical staff. They’ve been amazing to me and my family throughout this process, and I’m truly grateful for everything they’ve done. To my teammates, coaches, and everyone in the Lions organization, I want you to know how much I love and appreciate you. This team is a family to me, and the way everyone has been there for me means everything. I’m proud to be a Detroit Lion and couldn’t ask to be surrounded by a better group of people. One thing I’ve learned about Detroit is that this city is built on toughness, resilience, and grit. That’s exactly how I’m going to approach this challenge. Please continue to keep me and my family in your prayers. We feel the love, and I can’t thank everyone enough. God is good. My faith is strong. Jack Campbell

I truly believe many fans have detached themselves from the fun of fandom. Worrying about future draft picks instead of reveling in acquiring a truly great player is wild to me. The games just became infinitely more fun!

The way Caleb Williams took that sack to set up the chance for Cairo Santos to be a hero is elite leadership you cannot teach.

It’s with a heavy heart that I’m sharing the Ditka family has announced the passing of Mike Ditka this morning. Da Coach. Hall of Famer. The heartbeat of the ’85 Bears and a Super Bowl champion. Chicago won’t be the same. Prayers to Diana and the family. RIP, Coach. 🐻⬇️ Here’s a statement from the family: It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Mike Ditka. While the world knew Mike as a Hall of Fame football player, legendary coach, and leader of the Chicago Bears’ Super Bowl XX championship team, we knew him as the heart of our family. Mike will be missed beyond measure and remembered forever. With love and gratitude, The Ditka Family

I am skeptical we’ll ever see a sports documentary like Hoop Dreams again. What is classified as a sports doc these days isn’t even in the same universe as Hoop Dreams. It’s all just sanitized legacy maintenance with the subjects granted approval over the final cut.
One of many many scenes that are frame by frame and word for word, just perfectly saved in my head. One of the better films, let alone sports docs, in my lifetime Considering the dreck of newer sports docs, I hope TikTok helps it find a newer and younger audience.

I agree with this as well. Sports media outlets and reporters have gotten way too comfortable allowing anonymous sources to take shots. I do my best to grant anonymity strictly for information not opinion.
I don't say this often, but Jaylen Brown is 100% right. Anonymous sourcing is supposed to reveal info that's worth protecting a source for. It comes with a responsibility to scrutinize what they tell you. The 24/7 insider economy has lost the plot.
