Izel / “Zenhsi”🪷

Long post incoming but I want to sort my thoughts about the Penglai campaign I keep thinking about the message of this quest. The Inkbound Order tells us no one is born evil, Tang Xinci tells us once someone gets nudged into the direction of becoming evil turning away from it is almost impossible like a fish trying to swim against the current. In general the quest is about human nature and what it takes for someone to turn evil. I think no one in the Inn was more “evil” than the other, everyone ended up the way they did because of certain circumstances. At the very end even Murong Qiu, the fake Inkeeper, who ended up here due to other's killing her family was the villain and evil in the eyes of the real Innkeeper’s son as well since she killed his father to take over the Inn. Even if Yuzhen was not evil she was framed and pushed forced into the role. And at the very end even Pei Hang, who seems to be a descendant of the Innkeeper’s son only turned out that way because of circumstances and whatever followed in the generations after. We also finally got to see more of Lan He since the Hexi Dark Surges cutscene as well. In the end everything circled back to Hexi and the Golden Peach/Zhenguang Jade and the beginning of Lan He’s journey which will kickstart the events in Hexi and eventually lead to the moment Uncle Jiang found the young master on the battlefield at Zhongdu Bridge. Everything in this world is intertwined, I could spend hours looking at every detail of every quest and never grow tired of it And Yuzhen… she truly just chose to remain there, she probably could’ve left way earlier but saw no purpose in it. It is probably unlikely but I hope we will meet her again… There's so much more I want to talk about in this quest and there's so much happening but I absolutely loved it 🥹

where winds meet qingzhou penglai campaign spoilers //// compiled all letters from xie yao to yuzhen and yuzhen's final letter to xie yao + cutscene in one video

just finished the new campaign and it's easily one of my top 3 so far. I loved the detective work in the quest making us connect the dots on who is who and who died how. I loved the ending part showing us the letters from yao to yuzhen (even got my a bit teary eyed) and the boss fight was immaculate as well... there are still some open questions but I hope those will get answered in the future

you have no idea about the damage these letters did to us
